hi i'm realy interested in archaeology and was wondering if anyone new the best way to get involved, i live in a small village in the cotswolds called weston-sub-edge, we have a roman road that runs near by and as my favourite history is the roman period is there anything that your allowed to do, i.e field walking etc without getting into trouble

you would need to ask permission from the landowner to do fieldwalking

What about doing a course? There are some cracking courses going on at Bristol; they were posted here sometime ago. It could lead to contacts and digs etc.
