Some of my mates in the Fairfax Battalia have been filmed for Torchwood but I'm not issuing a spoiler. The make up team rendered them almost unrecognisable.

Not quite sure if I liked the opening double bill. The subject matter ensured an after-the-watershed slot, but I didn't think the scripting was subtle enough for adult viewing. It was like Who meets Men in Black.

It was pointed out to me that the girl who plays
the police woman, has been in a couple of Dr Who
episodes. Notably the part of the housemaid in the
Dickensian episode, where she was possessed by the
evil spirit, and was blown up in the house at the
end.

The actress who plays the new companion, Freema Agyeman, also appeared in the Series 2 two parter as another character who had part of her brain pulled out by the head of Torchwood (nice! )
There's going to be an explanation as to why Martha looks like her, apparently.

Reusing previous actors in Doctor Who is something of a tradion ,actually.Jean Marsh played about four different characters. The late Michael Sheard appeared in at least 3 different roles and even Colin Baker appeared in a bit part as a guard who got to shoot Peter Davison.

You're assuming Geofizz aren't already using alien technology. My other half was rather taken with the rsther "foxy" Toshiko, I can tell you. The image of her getting to grips with a fluxgate gradiometer would, I suspect, weaken his resistance almost instantly...

Yes, so the rest must have hit the editing floor. The Roman soldier got better coverage, if made rather raging and incoherent.
