Ok, this is getting silly. The website is supported by Tony himself, who I believe is a member of Time Team, and this is the Time Team forum after all isnt it?

Maybe I've got it wrong?

Ah well, whats the point? Frown Frown Frown

Tony to appear in the Festival Fringe - Edinburgh?

Tony Robinson's Cunning Night Out
****
GILDED BALLOON TEVIOT (VENUE 14)

USING his most famous character as a reference point, Tony Robinson presents an amusing, revisionist view of history that champions the little guy. Neatly comparing Baldrick's downtrodden experience to that of his own father, an intelligent man excluded from further education by his class, this is a passionate socialist polemic made palatable by Robinson's droll delivery. Through Agincourt and the Somme, to his own experiences as a skiving schoolboy, via Blackadder and the archaeology show, Time Team, Robinson brings home the message that your ancestors suffered in ways you can scarcely imagine.

Moreover, far from seeming like a contrived, almost Zelig-like relation of a minor celebrity's career path to important battles and world events, Robinson's roles and presenting jobs start to seem like the logical path of someone fighting the good fight. He is never less than charming, funny and enthusiastically erudite.

• Until tomorrow. Tonight 6.30pm

It does seem to be getting very very very silly. It must be triggering something that breaks the red tape rules.

New message from Tony on the latest news page on my website, saying about The Doomsday Code programme which is on Saturday on Channel 4.

Sounds like it's going to be a good programme Smile

Thanks Jenni, but I no longer have a video player, dumped it in favour of a DVD recorder, which is completely user UNfriendly!! Confused

I decided to keep my VCR - just in case... Big Grin If I were cleverer than I am, I'd have figured out how to record from VCR to DVD (or vice versa!) but it was enough of a challenge to set the equipment up in the first place, let alone try to reconnect things now... Confused

Tony was about last week and met Mr Currant in Pierino's restaurant here in South Kensington.
I missed him unfortunately, but I've been sent a virtual hug, so that's OK. He's certainly a man with a mission, but has his political way with us using vehicles we assume initially to be simply entertainment.

Buy a cheap VCR, buy cables to connect cheap VCR to PC, upload videos to PC HD, copy to DVD on PC's DVD drive! Cool

Footnote: I've never done this myself, but the 'puter mags make it sound this easy!! Wink Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

If you connect the VCR to the DVD recorder with a scart lead, you should get a 2 way connection, so (theoretically) you can record either way round.
