GT3 is finished! We had the Premier Party on Saturday night and the new web page is now set up.

This one is set at Copped Hall in Essex. Because they allowed us to film at Copped Hall itself during the Training dig, we have raised the price to £8.00 so that I can donate £3.00 for every copy sold to the Copped Hall Trust Archaeology Project.

Running time for the main feature is 51 mins and it's available on VHS or DVD at the same price (which includes P&P). Both have out-takes and the DVD has another 25 minutes of Extra Features as well.

We're also releasing GT 1&2 on a single DVD also priced £8.00 for anyone who hasn't already got them or wants to upgrade their collection to DVD. The picture quality is slightly better but will never be perfect as both were only captured at half frame size. However, we have re-recorded the singing at the end of GT2 and it's far more bearable now!! Any new VHS copies will have the improved version on too.

I'll put my order in once I've worked out whether finances are stretching to a DVD for Christmas! Smile

(There now, Eileen, take it easy...you knew I'd have to move into the 21st century sometime! Now all I'll need is to borrow Mike to put the new system together! Eek)

Doing similar calculations to Jenni's - I think I'm going to have to ask Father Christmas for this one.

I hope the DVD 'Extras' include out-takes, interviews with the director and key cast-members, production storyboards, an explanation of the special effects and stunt work, and a film about 'The Making of Grime Team III'....

'Nish, I hadn't forgotten the little bottle, I'm sure I'll get to see you sometime fairly soon.

The Extras include out takes and a few other amusing diversions. I thought about a "Making Of" with behind the scenes footage & interviews but everyone else yhought it would be boring... If you want to see what they are you'll just have to buy a copy... Big Grin

get the DVD anyway whatever the state of play; eventually you'll have a DVD player to watch it on - meanwhile you can use your PC to view it!

Not only did I get a DVD, I got a recording one, not just a player! And I set it all up myself. Razz

It'd all look great if the new TV actually worked... Roll Eyes

PS - am I the only one who thinks people must be sad or a bit retentive if they want to watch a film 3 times over: once as it stands, once with the director's commentary and once with the screenwriter's commentary...

And of course, the alternate ending which is only a few lines/images different from the one they actually kept in. A bit like a "spot the difference" competition.

Now I know what I've been missing all these years without a DVD player! Eek

No, you're not the only one!!

Our "Extra Features" are completely different from the main feature.

We now have a little feedback from Mick Aston & Guy de la Bedoyere.

Mick:
Prof Mick loves the Grime Team, and was highly amused at the antics with the tobacco and the bog scene. He isn't that leery of cows, but the ones Grime Team filmed would probably have made him think twice about being in their field! He is actually flattered with his character portrayal!

Guy:
Well, I watched it. How on Earth did you get Neil (Faulkner) to take part?

I liked the dozy Mick. I'm sure Francis will be amused by being portrayed as an effete toff lolling in a hot bath.

Took me back to the old days. It's all rather different these days with a rather more variable line-up, depending on the site. I enjoyed the book plug angle... I have used them occasionally for pictures because it avoids any copyright issues, but I'm sure I never actually said I was using one of my books.

I must remember to abandon that b****y Berghaus. I made a huge mistake wearing that on the live because once begun I couldn't lose it. It was rather windy in the evening on some of the days which was how it started.

Actually I'm wearing it now.
