showing my age aarrghhh, mine was Harry Neilson, 'Cant live if living is without you' had to hide it for weeks, cos mum said i could not spend my pocket money on records. i was 15 at the time, hid it and said my friend gave it to me, weeks later, she wasnt daft tho, she new i bought it. Then, i tried to get another and bought Alvin stardust 'My coocachoo', left it on the bus tho  |

I don't remember the first single I bought, but certainly the first single I received was "Got My Mind Set On You" by George Harrison, which I'd asked for (and was too young to buy). First album I bought was "Introspective" by Pet Shop Boys.
