The first alcoholic drink I brought myself in a pub was Babycham and Southern Comfort because I thought that it was sophisticated. Hated the taste at first, scary how quickly I grew to love it.

We used to get this stuff called Bomas - a nasty sugary copy of 20/20 but even more potent. It used to give me blue sick, which was lovely.

Shamefully I have to say I used to get someone to but me cidar at the age of 14 and disappear with friends and get drunk. I have 3 kids now and the eldest is 13 and I'm terrified of what he will get up to.

When I was a teen if ever i went to a party with my parents I, along with my friend, was allowed a very small amount of either Martini, Cinzano or Dubonet topped up with lots of lemonade. Also had snowballs at christmas.
