Unfortunately Im not old enough to have been around when Jack Wild was at his prime but..does anyone remember him?

I really wish I'd been old enough to see his shows back then, rather than having to watch them on DVD now but I guess we can't choose when we're born

I love pufnstuf! my dvd came yesterday and I cant stop watching it hah.

What what pufnstuf about?

I watch Oliver! the other day and I loved Jack Wild when I was little n still do! Saw a pic of him not long before he died though and he looked terrible. V sad!

Pufnstuf is about a young boy called Jimmy, (Jack Wild), who gets coaxed onto an Island (Living Island) by a witch (Witchiepoo) who want's his talking flute (Freddy). On this island he meet's various oddballs, Pufnstuf (the major, who happens to be a dragon), Cling and Clang (two small..things), Ludacris (a Lion) and so on. They all try help him off the island before he gets hurt.

Hmm, yeah Jack did look a bit worse for wear before he went but you can't blame him really, not after everything he went through.

It was a year since he died a few weeks back. I made sure I watched 99% of the Jack dvds/vhs's I own

I remember seeing him in a play in my home town local theatre about 5 years before he died. He looked like he'd had a 'hard paper round'. Life hadnt been particularly kind to him after his early success in Oliver and of course he had an early death. As a teenager though he was a bit of a heart throb amongst the young lasses

Wasn't he also in a programme about a pony that was badly treated?
