I know, it was such a tragedy with Dermot Morgan passing away so suddenly at his age
That show was so funny, totally cracked me up. Definately one of the best comedies around and had so much potential to go further.Dont think it would have been the same wihout Ted though so probably best they didnt make anymore!
Still it is great to go back over them, I laugh so much everytime... I cant pick a fave, there are too many... though I do love the episode where they give up things for lent
Cigarettes, Alcohol and Rollerblades was my favourite episode. Or the one where they represent Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest with the hit "My Lovely Horse".
"Do you like Smashing Pumpkins?" "How did you know?!...I love to do that!"
Those two episodes were classic! But think my fave episode is the Christmas Special one when Mrs Doyle (think that was her name) falls out of the window.
Oh and the one with the shoplifting priests.
Ah I love Dougal. Why's that Ted?
~~Play me a song to set me free~~ **Weebles wobble, but they don't fall down**
I wouldn't buy comedy DVD series but Father Ted is the only exception i'd make (Okay and maybe Faulty Towers). It's the only comedy series i can watch 100s of times and still laugh at every single episode.
Remember the speed 3 one in the milk float? I think every episode was a classic.
""And they swam and they swam right into my dam..." - Sue, Green Wing, series 2 - episode 1.

I love Dougal and I was lucky enough to meet Ardal O'Hanlon last week He was doing a stand-up show and he sang 'My Lovely Horse' at the end. He's a really lovely bloke. Very cuddly and quite shy.

"We can't just stand here like ducks in thunder!!"
I like it when Ted is trying to explain to Dougal what reality and dreams are but Dougal gets them mixed up, lol and with the cows, these are small and those are far away!
Father Ted was ace. I think my fave episode was'Speed 3' -where Dougal becomes a milkman but there's a bomb on the milk float. Eurovision one was hilarious too -the music video for 'My lovely horse' had me in tears.
Father Jack was great...what a character, and his hairy hands and off to the home. lol! Shame Father Ted died, as he was a good actor and held the show together and Mrs Doyle was first class. Loved when she banjacked the teasmaid with a screw driver. hahahaha! Then Dougal and the bunnies was hysterical....loved the Father Brennan character as well...so fitting. Got some of the series on bought tapes.
Sad when funny shows finish.....and I love real comedy.
