Recently found a load of progs'i taped mid 80s from C4,kept well considering their age, remember these....THE GONG SHOW aired daily 4.30pm outrageous "talent" show where the host Chuck Barris looks drunk! THE INCREDIBLY STRANGE FILM SHOW and its sequel SON OF...with Johnathon Ross profiling low budget film makers. THE PRISONER FILE docu' on the making of the Mcgoohan series THE PRISONER,don't think this has ever been repeated.
Haha, I found one of those last summer. I think it was manily ITV stuff though. Wakaday!!!! Rod, Jane and Freddy, some old house programme, a very early This Morning and many 80s style adverts (ho ho ho Green Giant!!)
Its fun to go thru old unlabeled tapes you never know what you might find. Recently found a tape featuring Oliver Reed drunk on a boring late night talk show "AFTER DARK" when he kissed that feminist. Dont know what i'll do with all these tapes, but i'm not going to bin them.
We all had our own tapes in our family with our names on the label, my tape mostly had neighbours on. Would be intresting to look at them again, you have inspired me to dig them out!
I remember getting Sky tv in the late 80's... I would tape a film on a 3 hour tape... then fill the rest of the tape with music video's from MTV.. I still have them and love looking back.

I also have that on tape Wasnt that Late night chat show great. It used to go on for hours, but they had some great guests and some great discussions. I wish they would bring it back.
