It has been drawn to my attention over the last couple of days that Christmas is upon us. Part of the reason that I hadn't noticed the silly season, is perhaps that quality seasonal telly programmes are pretty much a thing of the past. An a special episode of the Nicholas Lyndhurst sitcom doesn't really count.
So, when you think of Xmas telly what are your immediate thoughts? To the Morecambe and Wise Christmas specials really made Xmas back when I was a child, and a wonderful special with Tommy Steele called 'Quincy's Quest'. Pure magic.
I expect that C4's contribution to the Christmas spirit will be a 'funny quiz show' featuring people off Big Brother... I must set my video for that one!

I actually quite like 'The big fat quiz of the year', but that is more of a new year show.

Quincy's Quest, that's it is it! I have been trying to remember what that show was called, all I could remember of it was Tommy Steele as a toy, and I think a witch or something was in it.
