You mean the giant spiders that the occultists conjured up? That traumatised my arachnaphobic sister! (I might be running away with myself here, but didn't Jon Pertwee turn into Tom Baker at the end of that series?) I didn't find the spiders a frightening as the giant maggots in "The Green Death", mind. quote: Originally posted by LisaLuLu: Good old Doctor Who....
The episodes with the spiders.....Anyone remember them? My mother had to drag me out from behind the sofa 30 mins after the programme ended!

As a kid i remember watching a kids TV show called 'the little vampire'(or something like that), and that really freaked me out!! The wheelers from 'Return to Oz' really scared me as a child...and still do now! My brother used to put my roller boots on his hands and chase me round the house!!! He doesn,t still do that now tho, ha ha!! Grott Bags also used to scare me to death!! There's somebody at the door, there's somebody at the door! lol!

The original 1963 Dr Who used to scare the living daylights out of the 7yr old me. It was the theme music that sent me scuttling behind the sofa. And if the Daleks were on, I used to ensure that my dad was also sat between me and TV. The film the Exorcist terrified me forever. Even now I won`t have that film in the house, not even on DVD. My kids who have now all grown up think the film is hilarious and outdated, but all I remember is how badly it scared me, and I can`t even touch the box in a DVD shop.
******************************** John Smith: So what am I then? Nothing. I`m just a story.
Doctor: You`re an echo. That`s all. A TimeLord is so much more. A sum of knowledge; a code. A shared history. A shared suffering. Only it`s gone now, all of it. Gone forever.

Dr Who, especially an series when I was a kid (in the late 60's( that had abominable snowmen in it.
The X files was scary in places.
As a teenager it would have to be some episodes of a programme called (I think) Thriller, with different stories every week.
