I used to be really scared of the programme Stingray. I'm really scared of the sea anyway, and that programme was just horrible. The monsters were so scary, and that mute mermaid woman really made me sad. She wasn't allowed to speak!

Also, Pob was horrible. He was so scary looking, and I hated it when he used to 'swim' under water in that fake sea thing.

Dr Who.. The Daleks Eek

There was a programme on in the 80's Called "The Tripods" It was about these big tripod things that went around terrorizing people. I had nightmares about them for ages afterwards.

Poltergeist (The Film) watched it when I was 10 it left me disturbed for years.

I was easily scared really Big Grin

there was an episode of starsky and hutch where they open up a gym locker and a clowns head on a spring pops out saying 'die saturday night' over and over, freaked me out no end!

also, there was something on a sunday morning, it had these metal balls that went around obeying orders of this witchy looking puppet, anyone remember this? for some reason i feel it'slinked to 'Zelda' lol

Doctor Who with McCoy and it had Cat People: riding on horses, camera going yellow when they hunted, hearing all the bones crunching when they took their prey....their human prey! Eek

Moondial: A uber-cool supernatural series for children dealing with time-travel, a spooky manor, brilliant music and themes that today's PC Planet would not touch with a six foot barge pole....GAWD I miss the eighties!

Terrahawks always freaked me out with those grotesque looking puppets! - this might have been the programme that jet the jinx (above-wards) was remembriating which had the metal balls in it (not 100% sure though).

I remember this programme and it really gave me nightmares at the time.

Also I remember vaguely a programme called 'Saphire and Steel'. Really worried me. God knows how kids of today cope!

Pass me the remote love.....

I remember Moondial! It was really scary! How the hell are we all not traumatised? The stuff I watched as a kid!

Here's loads of info on it..

thanks 5foot ahh memories...is the theme music anywhere? I loved it, that wasn't really spooky. The only time it ever got spooky was when the girl used the moondial all that odd echoed music would come in! But it gave the right affect for the show Cool
