And one other thing - do u remember that sci-fi series from 1977 - The Children of the Stones? (set in Avebury, Wiltshire). Now that DID scare me! (mind u, i was only six at the time!).[/QUOTE]
Yes but wasn't it brilliant. I remembered it and recently got the dvd and thought it was brill. I think they should make an adult version. That said I think any adult watching it back then would have possible felt it was not really a childs program.I just cann't believe that they never repeated the show, just showed the 7 episodes and that was that. A short time in our life a long time ago but so many of us remember it, so it certainly made its mark.

There was a childs show in the seventies where children had this object called a carving. It was wooden with a mirrored top. The children would stand in a circle around it and spin it. They would then be transported to another time/place. I would love to know what it was called as I remember it as adventurouse but also terrifying.
Any one remmember the show or indeed its name?

Animated film gives me a weird feeling much more than 'ordinary' film. The witch in Will o the wisp was creepy and Pokemon is just strange. I think its the way older animated film leapt from one thing to another and speech does not fit.

Candy Man scared me first time I watched it but I was on my own with the lights out having been told it was the best way to 'get' the film!
