Very few had telly when I was young and it was safer for kids to wander about the local area; but I generally made sure I listened to "Journey into Space". I do remember seeing 'Six-Five Special' and the early 'Top of the Pops'. The cameras may have been big and unwieldy then but they could teach the present day operatives a lot. The present day technique appears to comprise of hanging a camera from a skyhook and set it swinging back and forth and setting up lots of lights to shine directly into the lens. Dr. Who was always a must and I enjoyed 'The Tomorrow People'. Crackerjack was far better than present offerings.

Mine was a tv show but i can't remember what it's called. It was about a little girl who's dad was an alien. He appeared as a blue shining globe and she kept it by her bedside and he spoke to her.I remember the theme music so well...it goes like this..." would you like to swing on a star..carry moonbeams down in a jar..

Anyone know what it was called?!!!
