Oh and they said it Originated in Hawaii in 1995

Was french skipping the same as "elastics"? Where you had a load of elastic bands tied together and two people held them around their ankles whilst the other person skipped to a rhyme. The only rhyme I remember is
Junior school We played jacks, elastics, skipping and they all had songs. We collected my little ponies and smelly rubbers cos they were called rubbers and not erasures then. We collected smelly stickers and pencils. Hello kitty was big as we had a large population of japanese children along with kitty's mate little tudlelulixam (something like that he was a penguin). Japanese tissues and paper for origarmi. pannini stickers. In secondary school one person would buy Just 17 or mizz and it would go all round the class, with the problem page being read first.

I remember this in my school too..... and if you had a copy of "More" you were considered really cool lol. I actually remember that the Just 17 problem page used to be used by the teacher in sex education/personal development lessons as examples of the sort of problems teens have.
