SM TV??? Sounds a bit rude & not what should be on telly on a Saturday morning! Eek

I liked Saturday Superstore (BBC1 1980s) for its cartoons & pop star guests with big hair!

Ghost train and Motormouth with Andy Crame; My saturday mornings were very routine

8.00 - Mommins
8.30 - Raccoons
9.10 - Trap Door
9.25 - Thunder, thunder, thunder THUNDERCATS!

This ritual carried on from '86 to '88

I used to flick between Tiswas & Multi Coloured Swap Shop! Big Grin

It was a right pain; they didn't have remote controls in 1978!!! Mad

Swap Shop was the "correct" one to watch, like Blue Peter, whereas Tiswas was the Magpie of kids telly.

I suppose it has always been cooler to say one enjoyed Tiswas over Swap Shop and Magpie over Blue Peter, but, if truth be told, I am a posh git and the anarchy of ITV scared me.

Actually mine was Transformers on Wac-day. Those crazy robots are still going today y'know, i have a forum about them almost three years old.

Anyway, i got up religiously every saturday to watch transformers on Wac-a-day, religiously!

Anyone else remember"Robinson Crusoe","Grizzly Adams","Banana Splits",and the Indian news programme"Naya Zindagi,Naya Jeevan" which used to fascinate me-a stream of Indian with "Marr-gar-et Thatch-er" or similar on the end.
Robinson Crusoe was so badly dubbed.
Swap Shop was brilliant.
I went when it came to Southend-failed miserably on the "eat 3 Cream Crackers in a minute" game, and swapped 2 Showaddywaddy LP's for skateboard pads!.Happy days.

I used to love watching Racoons and Live & kicking until it got rubbish near the end. As I got older I loved SM:TV too if I was ever out of bed on time except I didn't like the cartoons like Pokemon and stuff like that. I just loved Ant & Dec.

Mine was on BBC Going Live! with Philip Schofield, Sarah Grene and Gordon the Gopher.

Trev & Simon were doing the sketches and there was a game show called Run the Risk.

Was better than ITV by far...
