The Festival of Remembrance is always very well done. It's so moving to see all the war veterans walk past, and also very sad to think of all the soldiers who have lost their lives in war.
I thank each and every serviceperson for thier sacrifice to the wars so we may live free. It is always so moving to see so many service men and women proudly wearing poppies and remembering thier comrades who have fallen.
I saw that Paul did a VT on friday about rememberance. Thank you Paul.

i can honestly say that one of my grandfathers served in the 1st world war! he was in his 50s when my dad was born so he was an old man and he died in his 60s...i never met him...my mums dad,however...served in the 2nd world war! he died 23 years ago.... it always brings a tear to my eye thinking about it....

I did some street collecting for poppy day this weekend. Everyone kept saying how nice it was to see someone young helping but I think we all owe so much to those people who fought for us during war. My family mostly died young so I dont have many stories of war to recall, but my ex boyfriend s grandfather used to recall his days fighting. I thought it facinating!
I didnt watch it but as people may know I hate this time of year because my nan died on the same day of rememberance and it really upsets me because of that. But except for that it is ok I think my grandad fought in the wr but Im not sure
