Only just read this topic but felt i had to say something ......as a born and bread Birkonian i can assure you that we don,t like being reffered to as " scoucers " even though there is only a river seperating us we feel that we have our own identity .The scouce accent is very different to ours and anyone from Liverpool will agree .
