Lol yeah I have to say that I've considered doing this too, especially yesterday when I realised that I'd got the two types of stitches completely mixed up. But I'm going to try again, I'd really like to be able to knit one myself.

HI..NO APPARENTLY ITS JUST HATS.. THEY DONT HAVE THE FACILITIES FOR TAKING CLOTHES.. SO PAUL SAID THEY JUST NEED AS MANY NEW BORN BABY HATS AS PEOPLE CAN KNIT..THEY SAVE BABIES LIVES IN THE FIRST WEEKS OF LIFE POOR LITTLE MITES..
ALSO THE HATS CANT BE WHITE I BELEIVE BECAUSE ITS BAD LUCK IN AFRICAN CUSTOM..

I knitted hats in the evenings and have mailed 12 so far. That was going to be my limit but I kept thinking about those babies who die from the cold so I got knitting again, I'm on my fourth hat of the second batch.

Charity shops often sell knitting needles very cheaply (bought some for 10p per pair). I bought oddments of wool for 50p a bag which will make at least 10 hats.
