Who says hes trying to be like paul? This is the first time he's ever done anything like this and its going down a storm. Pauls had a few years experience.
And antonys a huge fan of paul, ive read it in the paper and on his itv website.
So i really don't think paul'd be too chuffed to hear you all slating him.
Just because its a similar show to pauls at the same time, it doesnt mean your betraying paul or becoming a lesser fan by enjoying antonys show.
I personally think its great, and its not fair on antony to compare him to paul. just like it wouldnt be fair to compare paul to other chatshow hosts and call him a copy on his debut.

Ditto! i completely agree. Give Antony a chance. Just cos you all love Paul doesnt mean that no one else can have a 5 oclock slot. Everyone deserves a chance and not all TV viewers are paul fans. I really like Antony so i'l probably keep watching his show and watch Paul on channel 4+. Also i like the way Antony goes into the audience a lot, Paul should do that. Afterall, if it wasnt for the audience then there wouldnt be a show. Just my oppinion. I did say on my post that it wasn't exactly the same which is true. If it was then I might like it. Lol But he does deserve a chance. It won't be going against Paul's show because it would have finished by then, despite what the papers say. I won't be tuning in again but if other people enjoy it then that's fine.  |

never said I did'nt like Antony's show, I am sure he's doing his best considering this is the first time he's done anything like this, and yes, I agree Paul has alot more experience. My point I am trying to make is that it will take time for Antony to find his feet (so to speak) and in time he will get better, on the other thread i said i would'nt be watching but i keep catching bits of it in between doing other things (very busy at the moment) and from what ive seen some of it is quite good. Paul has his own presenting style, Antony has his. Ok, at the mo it's not as good as Pauls but then again, Paul has alot more experience of chatshows. I am sure, in time Antony will grow in cofidence. And he's only got to look at the like of other hosts (not just Paul, before you all start) to gain advice. OK RANT OVER

i agree with charlotte i am enjoying antony's show but i am still a huge fan of paul and will watch his show religiously when it comes back next month

I havent watched it since mon, as I have been doin other things, but i thought it was good when i saw it. I like Antony, he has a nice personality, like paul. I like the way he went into the audience, that was a good idea, & I like how they get tea & cake. I think its a pretty good show.

I too have not watched it since Monday, been too busy, and I much prefer in him Coronation Street. Give Antony some credit, it's the first time he has done a show, it may get better with age.

Too be honest it is a complete replica of Paul's show minusing the organ game. Nothing to do with Antony he seems really nice and i like him on the show but i'm just stating the obvious fact that itv have put a similar forat to Paul's on the show thats all i'm saying and you really shouldn't get so touchy about it tbh i have better things to do than argue with you about whether or not it is or isn't simiar to Paul's because we obviously don think the same thing. i like antony cottonBut i just don't think the format it totally original that's all. charlottelovespog wyou have hit the nail on the head, I have watched each one and enjoyed it even though I loe Paul and everything he does but we can like other as well so good luck to Antony he is just starting out and wish him aaaaaall the luck in the world

I am not saying that I dont like Antony, but I watched the show on friday and it was awful and I ended up turning over and watching everyone loves raymond on sky.

Can only hope the show get's better. He is far better in Corrie, as an actor than presenter. Still he might blossom in time. Mind when you read the credits, it's not surprising it's bland, as his executive producer is someone who used to be producer of Corrie years and years ago. Still give poor Antony a chance.

I watched the antony show and i thought it was a right laugh and the pottery was a mess in a way with him making a mess of his and dropping another but he is making it a laughter show as well as anything else and I give full credit to him he has not gone out to better Pal so give the lad a chance and none loves Paul more than I and can't wait for him to return but lets get the catorgteys righ I give antony full marks for trying don't any of you

Im not getting touchy TA very much, and can i just add - how did you work out that itv have copied pauls format? Are you forgetting that that format was actually itvs to begin with?? Well I will watch the show, until our Paul comes back on air. TBH, I quite like Antony, as he comes as being very down to earth, just like the character he plays in Corrie.

Did i say i didn't like him? No. And yes you are obviously getting a bit touchy about it which is pretty immature. I've watched the show and i like it but the format is very similar to Paul's format at itv and on channel 4. Actually i like hearing peoples opinions, otherwise why would i come on here?? + i cant believe you just said that about leaving the forum haaaaa !! For your info, when the forum first opened over a year ago it was great and i was on here all the time along with a load of other great people inc. pogcrazy, katie266b, seaslug, lizina, ian1, starsarebright, hullabaloo, boysmama, ogrady, luvin paul n buster, even sexyspecs. (apologies if i forgot anyone )Unfortunately most of us have either stopped comin on or dont come on half as much now. Thats because of people like YOU not ME So i prefer to keep in touch with them via email etc. I hope you enjoy the forum as it is now, but it's nothin like what it used to be, one night we had a right laugh, got everybody on at once n got thru over 20 pages Pity it all went to waste.
