Just wondered what everyone's opinion was on this was, i would prefer it if they would show repeats whilst Paul is away. What does everyone else think?

I think its nice to support the show when guest presenters are on.

Also it gives them a chance to update us on what is happening and keeping the guests coming through.

I don't mind Mel if i had to choose a guest presenter. I prefer her to some others they have had.

I'd prefer repeats too but I guess as they've paid to book the studio and guests then they have to keep the show going with guest hosts whilst Paul's away.

I remember when Paul moved to C4, it was so confusing as ITV were repeating Pauls shows as well. So we had Paul on ITV and C4 at the same time.

Don't get me wrong i think Mel is doing a good job and it's nice to keep up to date but repeats would be nice now and again

Id prefer the show to carry on with guest presenters, as tv addict said it gives them a chance to update us on wats goin on with our Paul! Repeats are great wen it comes to Paul's show as id never tire of watchin Paul again n again n it wouldnt bore me but id prefer the show to carry on.
Also although Paul is obviously the main man u got all the crew n people involved with the show who do it for a livin so without the show they wouldnt have a job to do for the length of time Paul is off for.

Another thought is that theyd have to contact the guests due to be on the show that day at possibly the last minute and a few of them dnt live in London they come from further a field so it would be a wasted journey if they were already on their way and theyd have to turn the audiences away too.

Maybe C4 may put some repeats on if Paul continues to be off. At the moment they are mostprobably seeing how he is feeling of course.

Mel is doing a really good job, particularly at a moments notice. It would be a shame to close the show.

I would rather see repeats if I'm honest. I don't usually watch the guest hosts week because it isn't the same and most of us watch it to see Paul.

But when it's a good guest host it's a nice change.

Hi tv addict. That is a brilliant idea now I have seen first hand what goes on in the ad breaks a dvd covering them would be great and a late night show that would make brilliant viewing

It would be great to have some sort of a DVD which shows the bloopers etc and language

I really hope C4 think of putting one together as it would be a huge seller.

Yea that reli would be great, i wish they could do that, as id love to be able to see wat goes on i nthe adbreaks everyday, its so funny.

my daughter was at the show last Tuesday and would have been so upset if it had been cancelled. would have been a waste of her money to get there and miss seeing the guests.

Yea same here i went the followin day on the wednesday.

feel for her really, cos people go to see paul, u could see how nervous she was! at the end of the show she sed thanks to everyone for being so supportive as she had to step in at the last minute and she relli appreciated it, we gave her a standing ovvation because shes really so good to step in 45 mins before the show, also lorraine kelly done the 12.30 recording, and the floor manager said how the audience were moaning and not clapping cheering much at all cos they wanted paul, i really like mel, i think shes a star and does the best she can! u could see how uneasy she was, she didnt have time to prepare or anything so she done relli well !!!

Yeh, well done Mel, its good of her to have stepped in at such short notice. Must be hard when the audience are not being that supportive.

yes it must be really hard for the hosts taking
over when they know no one wants them..
its not their fault is it they are doing paul a wonderful favour..
not anyones fault just one of those things.
no one can help being ill..poor paul he must feel bad letting everyone down,but he dosnt need to worry,we all understand..
just get yourself properly better thats all we ask..

Yea it felt bit like that wen i went, like a lil bit of a strange atmosphere cause Paul wasnt there. Alan asked us to be supportive of Mel as she was reli nervous n i could tell she was wen she came out, i cheered n whooed as much i could cause obviously most people come for Paul but if he's ill n nt there then there's nothin u cn do about it u cnt change it so u just have to b supportive cause as a fan of Paul's thats wat he'd want his fans to do! At the end of the day its still "THE PAUL O'GRADY SHOW" so its his show just he nt there so u therefore there to support his show!
Totally agree Jan whoever stands in for Paul we do salute n we very grateful that u do the show and give Paul the chance to recover fully!

yea specially the end bit seemed to go a bit pear shaped with joyce..
they didnt do the nodding buster tombola did they.must of run out of time..
