Hello everyone,

As I have read on here, some of my fellow forum members have been having a tough time of it lately (myself included), I wont embarass you by mentioning your names, you know who you are. I just wanted to start a new thread to let you know that you are all in my thoughts and to share some of my experiences in the hope it will be an inspiration to you all. I dont confess to know all the answers, I dont have a magic wand to wave over you and I cant guarantee it will work for you, just bring you a little comfort in your darkness.

Like I say, I cant gaurantee this will help. but I hope it will go just a little way towards a happier, brighter and more clearer futer for you all.

JUST READ THIS AND I HAVE TO SAY IT BROUGHT A TEAR TO MY EYE...

THATS LOVELY AND I AM SURE IT WILL BRING A LOT OF COMFORT TO ANYONE SUFFERING RIGHT NOW..
MY HEART GOES OUT TO ANYBODY WHO IS GOING THROUGH DEPRESSION OF ANY KIND..IT EATS AWAY AT YOU AND MAKES YOU FEEL ALMOST ALIENATED AGAINST THE REST OF THE WORLD AROUND YOU..
I HAVE BEEN LUCKY, I HAVE NEVER GONE THROUGH IT, BUT I HAVE HAD A FRIEND WHO DID, AGAIN MICHELLE, LIKE YOU ALMOST TO THE POINT OF SUICIDE..THANKFULLY SHE MANAGED TO OVERCOME IT AS WELL.

I AM SO PLEASED YOU HAVE BEATEN IT..THERE IS LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL
GOOD LUCK TO YOURSELF AND ANYONE WHO IS GOING THROUGH IT AT THE MOMENT.

Ok, Here goes (Deep breath) 18 rabbits, 1 chinchilla, 1 canary, 1 budgie, 1 lovebird, 1 parrot, 1 cocketeil and Lily my dog. The Zoo as Ems calls it. The pets have been a great help to me and I would'nt be without them. Hope everyone is well today XXXX

hey Michelle! thanks for writing this. it truly is an inspiration..
it is such a positive thing to be able to share these kind of personal experiences, so i admire you for that, as well as being able to get through the darkest times..
i am there myself, but i am slowly coming out if it, i think..but not yet...i have a way to go before i can actually BELIEVE the positive thoughts that sometimes stray into my head...

wow thats a lot..i thought i was bad with my lot.. yes pets do help a lot when u feel down i would never b without mine either...
i tend 2 b our local branch of the rspca here, a;ways taking in strays.. cant say no because i worry about them if i do...
i rescued someone's parakeet from our street the other day..
u have no idea how stupid i looked creeping around in slow motion waving my cardy in the air... braced to throw over bird as soon as it landed..neighbours must of thoght i was a right nutter...
anyway happy ending.. i got it and it was reunited with its owner about an hour later..

I have always believed that having pets help relieve the stress of everyday life...i guess that's one of the reasons that i can feel so bad at times...it gets terribly frustrating, knowing that i can't get a dog or a cat until i move from this flat!
oh well....soon..i hope...
