A big thank you to you all from 'Save the Children'.

They're still getting over 2000 hats in each and every day thanks to the show and people like you guys getting involved. 'Save the Children' are very excited about the great response to the knitting campaign. Newspapers and magazines are interested in hearing about the phenomenal response and who you knitters are and journalists have asked to hear from some of the younger knitters who have taken part in the campaign.

It would be a great help to 'Save the Children' so if you would like to talk about your involvement - if you're in your teens, twenties or thirties and would like to help out please email Susannah Parker on s.parker@savethechildren.org.uk.

Thank you to every one of you who has knitted a hat to help save a life - please tell everyone you know to take up knitting and keep on knitting too!

That is a brilliant response and well done to Paul and the team for airing the situation on the show. It has definetely tugged at our heart strings on the forum as there has been a great effort made to get knitting.

IS there another way to help as i have not got a clue how to knit.

You could always buy a couple of hats as I imagine they don't have to be hand knitted

It's excellent news that there's been such a good response to the knitting appeal - 2000 hats a day is such an impressive amount.

Yea well done to everyone who has knitted hats, n well done n thanks to the Paul n the team for highlightin the problems children n famillies face in Africa n for tellin us about such campain, as without u sayin anythin i dnt think id no anythin about it!

Yea it unbelivable how many hats they are receiving, 2000 a day i cnt take that in reli, just think bout how many lives that will save, something so small makes the biggest difference! So a massive well done to everyone who has knitted the hats or helped the campain in another way its fantastic!
