You’re loved by loads of people … what good taste they have! Now we want you to be healthy, happy and enjoying life to the full. Please drop the weed … patches will whoop it’s ‘behind’ … Or we’ll tell everyone to nick your cigs, and not give them back!
Stresses tell, things hurt, life can be very tough, that is true, But good holidays, friends, and lifestyle can help ease and renew. The ciggies are a false friend, and don’t care what they steal, As a non-smoker, remember how good you will again feel!
Olga, Buster and Louis can be very promptly trained, To whip that ciggie off you the very second you light up! And the Geestapo too, will be very much contented, To join in, even if the cigs are (briefly) lamented!
The amorous cow’s waiting too, and has made a little card for you to treasure… “Mooo-ve over ciggies, he’s comin’ home, oh what a pleasure!” The chickens have sent some seed, to make sure your vitamin intake is good, And Buster’s learnt to wash dishes, with Olga and Louis rinsing clothes in the tub.
They want you home, we want you home, healthy, happy and well, So tell those darn ciggies to just go to ****!
Arh that was nice and incorporating all the animals, how unique. It made me smile. I hope it does Paul too. We all need a bit of humour i our lives dont we.
Many thanks, Charlotte. Just had wanted to write something a bit fun as well as with a message. Am glad you and seaslug enjoyed it. And if Paul sees it too, I hope he enjoys it ... hoping he's feeling a lot better.
i am sorry but i have a feeling it's going to kick off again
do you really think writing a poem nagging about fags is going to make him stop? if someone took a fag out of his hand, they could be charged with ASSAULT.
Leave the bloke alone, he's old enough and ugly enough to make his own choices. I am sure he will make the right one FOR HIMSELF. The poem is not encouragement, it's dictation.
Listen you, Lucky_U, nobody wants you on here except you. You may think their fans of your 'wit' but there not. I think the biggest fan of you is yourself. Your posts have annoyed nearly everyone on here and we're sick of it.
please go because you've ruined this foruma and it isn't fair.

Cheeers OGrady :-) ... there's always one on every forum that shows themselves up by posting nothing but negativity! Best to just ignore, as then they get bored. The poem (along with the other poems I've enjoyed reading on the forum) was written for Paul and anybody who wanted to enjoy it, not for Lucky_U, so the negative comments are irrelevant. I enjoyed writing it and no doubt Paul would simply see it as a bit of fun as well as a bit of well-meaning concern. If I have time, I might just write another!

Aww your welcome. It's true, who cares about their opinions? It's a very good poem and who really cares if they don't appreciate it?
yeah, really jealous. so jealous i can't breathe. actually, that's a lie. i'm not, and i can. as an ex smoker, i can tell you for sure, your daft ditty is not going to help paul to stop. if people keep going on about smoking, all it will do is rile him. you know what he is like for crying out loud. tell him to do it, he'll do the opposite.
oh, and by the way "ogrady" i really don't care too much for what you say. i can post where i want and what i want.
Will people who slag off Paul, take your nasty comments elsewhere, the poor man has just had a heart attack, and doesn,t need this c**p.
Glad he is on the mend, I went up the wall, and cried all day when I heard. Can't begin to think of tv without him. Cannot wait for his new show on 4th September, In the past visited his show 4 times, and I intend on going again. Good luck, and besy wishes Paul xxx

who are you referring to that has slagged him off? no-one i have seen on here have slagged him off, so before you start with silliness, read the comments. funny how you are yet another new member. i wasn't aware you were allowed multiple id's.

well done [/QUOTE]
Many thanks for such kind comments, OGrady, and I absolutely agree that what matters is that Paul and all the nice people on this forum enjoy it! Really glad about that.

Yes, it's great that Paul is home and on the mend. I just got a surprise when I saw in TV Easy that he's presenting The Friday Night Show, but they must have printed it before Paul was taken ill, so will no doubt bring in a different presenter. It'll be great when he's well enough to be a guest presenter on it though.

people who are wondering who is slagging off Paul, are you reading the forum or what, read it and you will find out who they are. I have nothing nasty to say about anyone, I think alot of Paul and would not wish him any harm. Why can't everyone on the forum be nice instead of being "bitchy" Ask yourself this question "Do you think Paul would like to read this?"

thanx. i cant only manage short ones though lol
Aha ... you typed 'I can't only manage short ones' I'm sure you can do it. But also, I wouldn't worry about how long or short a poem is ... japanese Haiku poems are often just 3 or 6 lines.

Hi Charlotte, it wasn't a criticism, but me just pointing out a 'Freudian slip' or whatever they're called ... when we say what we really mean, or are capable of!

Thank you Chergate. Really nice of you to say that. It was fun to write the bits about the animals, and I had a feeling Paul would enjoy reading about the animals too!
