£16million swoop for O'Grady

TV host Paul O’Grady has been offered £16MILLION to move to Sky One.

The TV favourite’s contract with Channel 4 runs out at the end of the year — and Sky chiefs have already put in their bid.


The news of the deal comes just a year after Paul left ITV bosses reeling with his decision to jump ship to Channel 4 — after ITV chiefs “forgot” to renew his contract.

I think he would have more freedom on Sky, and if he moved they might give him a later slot ,then he could be "himself" and not have to worry about the wartershed stuff !

At the end of the day, it's up to Paul what he decides to do, If he goes to Sky, I have not got Sky, but will not get it just to watch Paul. Plus, if he goes to Sky, what about going to the studios to be in the audience. If Paul goes from Channel 4, he will lose a lot of viewers and fans no doubts. Can't see Paul being fussed over a few million quid. Well If it was me, I wouldn't be bothered. Let's just let Paul make his decision, although cannot believe everything you read in the papers, espec The Sun.

I'm sure he will make the right decision ! He's not soft !!

Well guess I will be joining the "Club"too of NO SkY TV. What a shame if he does as he has so many loyal fans that have been at least with his teatime shows since they started, me for one. Cant blame him if he does do it, but I for one will be really sad. I cant even go to the studio these days so that would be the end of that.

Oh Thanks for asking. Have had a few awful weeks with one thing and another. Crufts in between so that cheered me up and of course the weather too.

How are YOu. Havent had a lot of time to be on here lately.

Seems like a lot of the originals have now disappeared. i.e Ian, Sexyspecs, Katie, but its still nice to see some of the ones here and know Im not the only sad case.LOL. Be a year in a fortnights time, how scary is that.

Yeh I was asking bout them on another thread but didn't get a reply , Yeh ,I t was 27th March when I had my mench in the paper ! Thats when I first came on !!

Yeah me to. I didn't want to get Virgin Media but my Mum wanted it and like you say we don't get Sky. I'll be gutted if I can't watch.

And as someone asked earlier , how will the audience get to go ?????
