My brother knows and visits the area where Paul, and come to that, Julian Clary live. He's says they are really nice people and do actually care for the environment where they are.
They are not incomers - as in I want London but country ways.
Do any of you have people who come to live in your area but want London ways?
Im a London Gal but have lived out in the what was Country for more years than I did in London. It was lovely when we moved here, green fields, and very countryfied. Over the years we have had shopping complexs built and with that three estates where fields were, no doubt the farmer sold out and made a profit, and with this its brought the type of people that wouldnt know a sparrow from a blackbird. Not interested at all in nature but all things plastic. The gardens round here use to be self sufficient just like the good life, these days its more likely to be covered in concrete or decking and extensions.
I know that ricky gervais comes from my town so that is really lovely when he was on Pauls show I have alot of other people who come from READING aswell but dont know who
I know what you mean seaslug. We have a playing field just down our street and they've used half of it for a new football pitch thing with a fence round it. I know the whole field will soon be a victim of new houses.
And in another place they knocked down all these old houses and building new flats which are hideous. There's going to be no countryside left.
