I think it would be a good idea for Paul to have another break before Christmas so that he doesn't overdo things.

It's nice that Channel 4 are looking after him like this. Smile

Paul needs to take care of himself, Top marks to C4 for looking after him. I dont think that the other channel (cough, cough) he was with would allow him to take time off. If paul does have the week off we will miss him but it will be for his own good,

Guest presenters could be

Carol Vorderman
Ricky Tomilson
Peter Kay
Lenny Henry
Victoria Wood

I'm glad C4 take it seriously and give Paul the chance to have a break. I doubt ITV would do that and I'm not just saying that because it's ITV but you know.

I would miss like mad like last time, because no one else is like him. But if he thinks he needs to have another break he should do.

Too right and they know it. If he meant that much to them they shouldn't have lost him so easily.

This is from today's Sun newspaper.

CHANNEL 4 bosses want Paul O’Grady to take another week off to safeguard his health.

The ex-heavy smoker, 51, has already missed one week after returning to his teatime chat show following a second heart attack.

And Paul is keen to work until Christmas and end his run before Richard and Judy return in the slot in January.

Last night the former Lily Savage star told TV Biz: “Channel 4, God bless them, are still a bit worried about me. They want me to take another week off and have a rest — they’re really looking after me. But I’ve told my producers I just want to get on with it and go straight up to Christmas.

“It’s not long to go and I’m feeling fine. I’ve got to have a meeting with Channel 4 about it. It may be best for my health if I do take another week. We’ll have to wait and see.”

When Paul took a break a few weeks back, a host of celebs stepped in — including close pal Cilla Black, 63, and Desperate Housewives hunk Jesse Metcalfe, 27

Paul having a week off is fine, he has to look after himself, but i hope he doesn't take the break at Xmas because i think his show will be great, and not the same with a guest presenter.

plus selfishly, i took my daughter in half-term from college, and we saw Cilla, so when we go at Xmas i want her to see POG Big Grin

At least ITV have moved Family Fortunes to 8pm for a better time slot.

Vernon Kay is brilliant presenting that.

I love the Christmas atmosphere but with Paul on the telly it's even better. Smile

I think if Paul has another week off it maybe the last week of this month.

The reason i thought that is because he started 25th September, and had a week off the end of October.

That's when I think it will be too - by the end of the month Paul will have done 4 weeks again before having a well deserved break. Smile

I hope they do invite Vernon back again - he was a really good guest presenter last time. Smile

Yeah he was and then least it wouldn't be a different person each day. No offence to the other hosts but it would be better with just one.
