It was a very stressful match, so i'm glad he didn't watch it.

It is very nice of Seaslug to do that, but i (like all of us) can't help thinking i wish i could do more.

Yes i know. I didn't watch a lot of it, but when i went out to get the card, the streets were deserted and the cheering from the pubs was very very loud, and i only live in a small town!
"Take yer tongue outta my mouth 'cos I'm kissin' ya goodbye!!" "Yer my kinda woman; seriously, yer are!!!" "And now it's time for me to play my organ" "They've only come in for a warm!" "Sittin' on the bog smokin' yer woodies and readin' yer paper!" "Never mind 'aahh' - wait til yer see 'im draggin' a pensioner round the stage by the hem of 'er mac!" "Yer not only barkin' up the wrong tree, yer in the wrong forest" "He's full of 'imself. He's just 'ad a dust up in the corridor with the Blue Peter dog. Seriously. Slaughtered it!"
I have to go too and won't be able to come on here now until after 8pm because I'm working this afternoon. I will think about Paul though and hope hes still doing well.

It is such great news that Paul is making such a speedy recovery...i just hope he doesn't try to do too much too soon.
I did think about Paul when it was and hoping he wasn't watching it. So i'm really glad they didn't let him watch it yesterday - that would have done him no good whatsoever!!
It was bad enough watching it with a good ticker!!
Keep up the good work Paul - loads of love & hugs are sent from me to you. xxxx
Arh thanks for all the updates, I cant believe theres been nothing on the tv or radio.
Im still anxious that hes not out of the woods yet but its great news what we have been told so far.
As we said it is weird that we are so concerned over someone we dont really know but I speak from the heart when I say that you wouldnt wish that on anyone. Hes had a rough year, something I had last year. It was only recent that he was involved in the crash in the taxi, and then the gardening accident and to have mouth ulcers is a sign of being run down. All the hassle with changing channels etc all on top of a bereavement, well its all been too much hasnt it.
Anyone on a lighter note, Many thanks for your kind comments on the card. I am a bit worried that he would have left by Wednesday, but I want to give everyone maximum chance to put in their good wishes. After all I think it will be nice for him to receive something from his fans, even if only a card. I am sure hes probably had loads already but its nice to know that everyone cares.
I'm sure the hospital would forward it on to him seaslug.
I am so surprised that it hasn't been on the telly or radio - all they seem to be interested in is what the wives & girlfriends of the England footballers are doing in Germany.
They don't seem to care that our top entertainer is in hospital after suffering another heart attack.
It's all wrong and they should get their priorities right...they are a disgrace!!!
I so agree. They only seem to broadcast things when people have passed on. Sorry dont wish to sound morbid but then its a shock to the nation. Freddie Truman went yesterday and he was one of Englands finest but has there been any mention of him not being well. No.
I know - i didn't know that poor Freddie was ill either. My thoughts go to his family.
Even if they had said a little foot note to their broadcast it would have been ok - we don't expect minute by minute updates. But a tiny little mention would've been nice!
All you seem to get is the footie and Im sick of it but it will I hope calm down now england are out and as for what that Man Sven got paid for its criminal when our health service is in desperate need of things and people are dying. Sorry dont start me off on that one.

Yes i agree. Although they did broadcast it on the news on the 'other side' from midnight on Friday, and then on their website, i was a very annoyed by the other channels/media for not making it a bigger deal.
It was very sad to hear about Freddie, but even with all the Football stuff etc, i still think it was disrepectful not to broadcast more details/updates about POG's health to us! It seemed as if all the news cared about was telling us what was going on abroad!
I'll shut up too now too, cos all i care about is that our POG recovers and is well!
Just a word from Tina and a C4 spokeswoman who doesn't know if he'll be ready to return in September. Probably best he doesn't make any commitments yet.
Definately, as much as i'd miss Paul if he doesn't come back in september I don't want him to come back to early he should wait until he is 110%.

He shouldn't feel pressured into coming back too soon. It is only 2 months away and I can't help but think that's too soon. I don't want to upset anyone but I'd rather Paul was well again then getting stressed.
