Oh Please do, that was Great! Started me off again. My goodness sounds like lived in the Dark AGes, how things have progressed in 50 years. Trolley Buses, I lived in East London, They were always derailing. Washing put on the line in winter and it was frozen solid and the indoor line in the kitchen on a pulley. Ice on the inside of the windows, let alone the outside. Yes the coalman and the milkman all delivered by Horse and Cart. I cried when they went automatic. I loved the horses. Larder in the cellar to keep the food cold, butter cheese etc no Fridges or Freezers then. The Wireless and the Saturday morning radio for Kids. The first time I think you could put in a request. Saturday morning pictures, in omg black and white. Id better stop. LOL.

Talking of outside toilets, i remember my nan telling me she used to hat rats, inside her toilet, and used to have to shine a light at them to make them turn round and go back. Ergh. Imagine sitting on the loo, with rats, watching or worse still biting you on your bum.

Glad our washing machines are what they are now, couldn't have been done, with putting sheets through a mangle. My nan also used to scrub her step, outside her house. Even before she died last November she still used proper tea, she never used teabags.
