Chris' show failed when all he could do was talk about how pally and how drunk he was with his guests after the show, I hate it when Ross brings on Gervais, or Parkison bringson Connolly, or Richard sucks up to Little Britain. don't bring on your mates if you want to impress us I don't want to hear how you went on holidays with Cilla...
It makes sense that some of Paul's guests would be his friends. He's a celebrity so obviously he's going to have friends who are also celebrities, ig he wasn't to invite any of his celebrity friends onto the show just because they were his friends then that would just be petty. Plus not all of the guests are his friends, if you watched him on ITV he had quite a few who he knew a lot about but wasn't really friends with them before... whether or not he is now I don't know and its none of our business anyway. Plus it's only his second show on channel 4 having been off the air since last year so cut him some slack, he needs to settle back into the route of things, I'm sure he will get more and more interesting guests as the show goes on.
I think he only brings his pals on when they've got something to advertise like Cilla last night had the 'eating with...' show that's on tonight and also that she's become an Agony Aunt.
I doubt he just brings them on to talk about their many boozy sessions
cilla was on last year actually, i love paul i just think cilla is a bit annoying! he's bound 2 invite friends, its gonna b a better show if he has somethin to talk to the guests about anyway
i dont see any prob with it, atleast hes no like graham norton who brings on Ruby Wax all the time. She was on that show sooo many times i just wanted to scream cus shes that annoyin.
*~Wanna love me, wanna touch me?.Think twice cause you got along way to go~*
It got annoying last year when he mentioned the fact that he was going to Elton John's pre-'wedding' party on show after show after show. I mean, fine, now move on. As for his mates, well, yes, Cilla and co can be tiresome, but so can the likes of Lowri Turner, Quentin Letts, Nick Ferrari and co on Richard and Judy. I think the best thing Paul could do is to get some new people in among the production team. It's a bit too cosy at present.
I really like to see Paul with Friends on his TV show, they bounce off each other. Paul is a top bloke and is obviously very popular with his celelbrity Pals
