My poor little dog Leo has been poorly the last 2 days bit I think he is over the worst of it now. Wont say what the problem was incase anyone has had a late breakfast lol

thanks i am always at the vets with one of my dogs they are so expensive.

yes vets can be an awful expense..i wasnt insured for one of the rabbits in the past..it cost me 135 pound to get it treated,then it died anyway..the rabbit had previouly been found wandering around outside,and had originally cost me nothing cos i'd kept hold of it..

Yeh i hope leo is getting better now. None of our pets are insured, they just cost a small fortune when they are ill. Trouble is one of my dogs has alot of tummy trouble so i doubt they would cover her for it now. U know how these people are. lol.

Hey Jan! Oh I'm the same, I take an immediate dislike to anyone who doesn't like animals. No-one would get past the hallway if I found out they didn't like animals! Oh well, have to sign off in a minute - I only work till 1.00 pm and not got a PC at home yet. WIll see everyone tomorra! Vanessa XX

none of my pets are either..my poxie little income off childminding wud not cover the amount i've got as they'd all have to be on a separate insurance..
as most of them are atrays as well i cudnt and wudnt turn them out,so i just have to hope for the very best nothing serious ever happens..

Yeh thats the trouble. I think its great that you do that, it takes a really caring person to take in strays and look after them. Im sure you give them all a lovely home.

I agree about people not liking pets but there are people that are actually frightened of animals and that's the reason a lot don't have them.
I have a friend that is not an animal lover but I go to stay with her a couple of times a year as she lives a distance from me but she always makes Leo welcome

yeh i think thats fair enough if you are frighted of them not to have them, and alot of people just dont have the time to look after them properly so thats why they dont have them. But its the people that mistreat them that make me angry... There is just no need, if you dont like them or whatever just dont have them..... sorry im getting into a rant. lol. It just makes me mad that all.

the problem here which is probably widespread across all the country is whenever someone has brought a stray animal,no one will take them..when u do phone any of the organisations,they are always full,and streched to the limit..
what do you do then..i cant throw them back out into the street,cos i'd worry about them for days.cant help it i'm too soft..people always say..just leave it its a cat..it'll b fine..i dont have the heart to do that especially when they look starved and bedraggled..

Yeh i know but its hard, you cant just leave them can you. i know exactly what you mean - we found a little blind dog running around on the road the other day and everone else was just driving on past and it was scared to death. So we managed to pick it up in the end and we took it to the vets and it was chipped so they kept it, but i cant believe that everyone else was just driving on past it!! Its crazy really.

Aww, that is so sad isn't it. How can people just drive by when there is a poor animal scared? Me and my dad found a stray dog when I was very little and he took it to some place where it could get looked after. I just couldn't leave it there...

Is he okay now?
