Good Subject Boysmama not boring at all. I did something similiar yonks ago on here. If you are from Islington do you know some of the famous people from there. i.e Linda Robson, and her friend, names gone for now. And the two brothers that were i Spandeau ballet and played the crays. Oh I am dreadful with names. I think Martine Mccutcheon came from there and they all went to Anna cher school, didnt they?
Anyway I am from East London originally and now live in East Anglia.
East Anglia is known as North east Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgshire. If you look on the map we are in the far right hand side of the country. Im in North East Essex.
hi seaslug - i wish i did know all of those people - including most of the Eastenders cast too, who seemed to live that way aswell..lol! i was born in Archway, islington and my grandparents lived in a council flat in Higbury corner..it would have been nice to have rubbed shoulders with Stars! lol! i believe the Artur Mullard, nless him, used to have a flower stall outside the tube station opposite my nans flat..i could have seen him but i don't remember...

I must confess that I didnt know Manchester was that close to Liverpool. As I am not getting to go around the country more now with the country shows I am learning geography as well. Hee Hee. Should be going to Malpas next month.
Duh, sorry the reason I mentioned Manchester, was that we were suppose to be going to Tatton Park over the Bank Holiday Weekend, but it was too much of a journey from East Anglia.
Hiya boysmama, sorry didnt see your post before Goddess. Oh yes Arthur Mallard, I use to like him. Can still see his face!
I believe that Linda still lives in Islington. I have been meaning to take a trip to the family records office there but dont know the area that well.
I remember as a very young child going on the night bus with my uncle as he was a printer and it went through the Angel, etc. I also had friends that came down from Liverpool and we would meet them in the early hours from Euston. I was so excited to be allowed to stay up in the those early hours when I was a child.
hi seaslug, this is a bit late and i don't think there is anyone else about - a bit silly talking to ones self really, but i know that people will get to read it later on.. i hsven't been up to islington for years. not since my nan died 7 years ago, really - i think that there are still lots of famous faces still living there now, it is quite a trendy area to be nowadays! lol..i remember walking up the road towards the angel with my grandad - he used to like going to Hornby shop at the Mall, then there was Chapel street market at the Angel - we went there quite a lot of saturdays!!....aaahhhh memories...
