This may not appeal to everyone but I love it when Paul goes down Memory Lane. Oh dear sounding old now. He was mentioning the wheeltappers and shunters club show that had Bernard Manning as the compereI believe. But I do love his mentions of things like Muffin, Torchie, and Twizzle and Popeye. Keep up the good work with that Paul. Do you remember the clitheroe Kid on the WIRELESS. hee hee.

I read this about the interview with Julie Goodyear:

It was a lovely interview which left Julie wiping away a tear as Paul thanked her for giving the British people one of the best characters in TV history, for 26 years. And quite right too.

Paul has such a magical way with words...he really did mean every word he said. It reduced me to tears they lovely things he was saying about Julie at the end of the interview - especially when he and Dermot stood up and applauded....awwwwww!

Paul has got a heart of pure gold - he's unique. Big Grin

I read that about the interview as well. The things Paul said to her he seriously meant. And it was lovely when he and Dermot stood up. Smile

It used to be like that for me with the children's programmes. Even when I was at University I used to try to get home for when they started, and I would be upset if missed out. The best children's programmes have long gone, because a lot of things are done digitally now Mad

Paul mentioned Adam Adamant and apparently its now a cult thing which was shown on BBC4 I think last night. Was quite funny to see the 60s fashions again.
