I've been watching since the beginning too - I don't have many programmes that I make a point of watching *every* week, but ER is one of the ones I definately do.

Okay, until I found this forum, I thought I was the only anorak out there who had been watching er since the first series. I'm glad I'm not alone! I remember, in hospital after having my first child, willing my visitors to leave so I could get peace to watch an episode! Does anyone else try to keep their addiction secret from their friends and colleagues, for fear of being seen as sad?
i wuld of been 4 wen it first came out so now not frm the strt...i remember few episodes cz my mum used to watch it loads, like the finale with all the snow and there was that shoot out and didnt one fo the docs get shot and died in the street????=$
Yes, absolutely. From day one. Well, actually, I missed the Pilot and watched from the second epi, so maybe that's not strictly true. Caught up with that much later, but from tha first time I saw ER I was hooked. I have all first 7 series on DVD and they were so different and IMO so much better. Remembering what went before, ER was so ground breaking. People don't realise how much of what we see in other shows owes so much to ER. Even now I can still watch epis I've seen many times before and still be gripped, even though I know the dialogue, what happens etc. etc. If that's being an Anorak, I plead guilty.
Nope, first epi of series 5 was my first proper episode. I had seen the odd ones when my uncle watched them but never got into it till my ex introduced me too it. Like M it is a programme that I 'have' to watch every week. I tend to forget about other programmes, but not ER! I have caught up with s1-4 since though.
Luv MD xx

When ER started in the USA it was on a Thursday at 9. Chicago Hope started the same night. I spent the hour flicking between both. After a few weeks Er had better ratings and Chicago Hope was swapped to Monday at 9.
My TV for the week was Chicago Hope on Monday, NYPD Blue on Tuesday, LAw and Order on Wednesday, ER on Thursday and Picket Fences on Fri. ALl those shows were on at 9 and I would be in front of the tv #
