I enjoyed this episode...it went by very quick so I must have been enjoying it!...I didn't even miss Morris!

Very nice balance between the hospital and the outside scenes I thought.. the bus stuff was great- suitably tense and touching at the same time. Nearly cried at the end when Abby was telling Luka all the stuff about Joe just like the Mum was talking about Milo Frown

Abby was great in this ep- reminded me why I like her so much. She kept her promise to the boy, she was so right about the old lady...and I loved that she didn't brag at all about what she'd done when everyone was saying she'd had an easy night. Good on her.

Loved the Kerry/Pratt scene...'hook a brother up' lol!

Also liked the whole Crenshaw being interested in Jane thing- that was hilarious...they would make a great couple Big Grin

I really felt Neela's mortification at the end when Sarah and Meg walked in- aaaahhhh SO awkward! Will be interesting to see how she reacts now.

Don't like how Luka is being made to look silly about the whole Ames thing...Ames is obviously playing up the cripple card to the police Roll Eyes meh.

OOh...and Newlex really wasn't so bad in this ep!

And finally...loved the ending scene with everyone together...but then I always love those scenes Smile

Best line- 'It's the job darlin''...when Abby said it back to that guy Big Grin

This episode was proply my favorite from this season so far.
abby was amazing.
jane and crenshaw, now that would be funny
i thought the new alex wasent so bad this epi, i liked the way he was spending time with that girl.

would anyone happen to know the name of the artist/song that was played when abby was in the helicopter, and then played again when the little kid had to shine the light on her at the crash?

Luka - tall, dark, handsome, he takes on childcare and he produces dinner for everyone at work. I'll have me some of that.

This episode felt like "The Crossing" to me - even down to the trapped mother with a missing son; in "The Crossing" it was Luka's patient and the boy was called Miles; here it's Abby's and the boy is called Milo.

"Still hot, baby".

Dammit, he was hot tonight.

Vaguely off-topic but still relevant to the episode: did anyone notice how many times when doctors were walking down the corridor, they kept bumping into people? Eek

I noticed the bumping.

I thought this episode was a bit too ott... I think they're trying to get another 'Hell and high water'.

The cheesy ending was lovely though. Smile

I didn't find the action in the bus scene very exciting since I knew Abby wasn't about to be killed off or even injured!

Still liked it though.

Sorry I did this Clare, but I agreed with everything you said! Top posting Big Grin

Hee, no worries at all- I'm flatterred! Big Grin
Oh yeah, I forgot about those shoppers- that was classic Big GrinBig Grin

And yes..Crenshaw and Jane really would be the weirdest couple in ER history! I'm sure we won't see much of them tbh though cos they're both not big enough characters. Boo.

RYAN ADAMS! Big Grin I love that song!

Spreading the Carby Love

I spend 23 hours a day wondering whether we’re wrong for each other, wondering whether the baggage we both bring would be enough to sink a small ship...But in the 24th hour, I realise I’ve been thinking about her for 23 hours and it always comes back to, there's something about her that I can’t stay away from. Something about her, that makes me wanna…love her.

I watched bits of this epi again, because the first time round I saw it on a smaller , less well lit screen, so I wanted to be fair.Even so the main problem I had wasn't with the repetitive story (echoes of so many other disaster epis), nor the acting, which was OK, but the special effects and the lighting which I thought were quite bad. The cheesiest part was when the bus careered off into the ravine just after everyone had been pulled out and escaped. That was so unrealistic and poorly done, and also so obvious.

There are some more realistic scenarios and efects coming up in future epis which I have quite enjoyed, so I'm not just carping for the sake of it. I do think, however, this wasn't up to standard technically, and I suppose it was a tribute to the actors that they made it seem even slightly credible.

i know you mean wyle away about the speacial effects - how many times have we seen a bus/car fall off the edge of a cliff like this on tv... but i liked the epi all the same!

Abby really was a hero today! i felt annoyed at how the scoop and run men didnt listen to her about the old lady - she is the doctor and she should know. it wasnt exactly a great told you so moment for her.

i loved that the girl threw up cranberries on Jane - & abby's karma quote. lol
Alex and the sick girl were so sweet together Smile

i'm not really feeling that much chemistry between Neela and Gates though... maybe it was because i saw it in last weeks episode prewview thing that they were going to be walked in on.

i loved it when abby said she wanted to go home, and then Luka was there with Joe (&the food)! it was a really sweet ending,

but am i the only one who can't stand Weaver??? she irritates me so much.

I also thought that this was a strong ep - although i do agree that some of the effects went quite realistic enough and there weren't really any suprises to the way in which the plot worked out. I liked that storyline all the same though, it kept me interested - it was good to see Abby on her own and being gutsy!
I loved the scene at the end (cheesy - yes!) and Crenshaw and Jane were funny too. Still not that bothered about Neela and Gates although I could feel her embarrassment at the end

Yeah that annoyed me so much too- what's the point of them having a doctor on board if they don't even listen to her advice??
