I've just watched the first season of prison break on dvd. I'm really sorry guys, but if i had known how very good it is and how much I was going to fall in love with it, I would have binned the last series of E.R. (and i've watched it from season 1)in a heartbeat! I could have been watching season 2 of prison break on 5 instead!
Sky is buying up everything which counts as compulsive popular viewing 24, Lost etc... so Prison Break is logical for them as it is nail biting stuff, although it has no depth to it. I am still holding out against the all powerful Rupert Murdoch and refuse to get Sky.
Deeper stuff like the Sopranos, West Wing etc always belonged to 4 (C4, E4 or More4) These are the real quality shows. Six feet under was another. They have all finished now. We await new quality US drama. The point is that ER was one of these quality shows with drama and depth, the daddy of them all in fact. It has passed its time. It ought to die with dignity like the above mentioned shows. I am sad that ER refuses to die, because it was the very best of them all. I loved ER
I watched most of the last series of ER via inferior quality YTube on my PC so that I could catch Prison Break, but I didn't watch Prison Break religiously. I missed the odd episode. It's gripping , but not great. I still can't bring myself to stop watching ER altogether, and there are still the repeats.
However, I recommend reading a book, listening to music, or going out as superior to both Prison Break and series 13 ER.
You don't have to miss either one of them. You could always watch the repeat. Both are repeated, albeit ER is repeated on E4, bt you don't have to have sky to get that. You can always invest £20 into one of those Digiboxes. Its worth it just for the E4 channels.
Luv MD xx

Or join Richard Branson's Virgin, or wait for daytime repeats on C4, or get the million different recording options, or get a life, or whatever. We have so much choice these days, but are we happier??? No , but the Media moguls are richer.
Love your signature , by the way. I may not always agree about ER, but those are sentiments I can support 100%
