clemente (short, dark hair, italian american(?)) was a new atending brought in last season to clean the ER's act up, he was having an affair with a poilce mans wife, the poilce man came to find him shot his wife and clemente got shot too. the ER staff thought that he had shot the women and there was a police investigation....(i think thats what happend) hope i helped

interesting what you said about Ray bulking up Clare (I think it was Clare?)..I didn't really notice it but it just reminded me that we've been watching season 6 of ER (*sniff* just watched All in the Family last night ) and we noticed that Abby is really thin back then! And...no, I would not say she was fat at ALL now but it's just funny how you don't notice these things change over time...she just looks really young and scrawny..

ANYway...off the point slightly..

A real feel-good episode. Plenty of drama for all you Luka-Abby fans.
Nice touch with Weaver again: she no longer needs a crutch but she can still
suffer falls! The writers are so wicked.

My highlight: Return of the Morris. Most people may see him as a loser but to me he's just a great underdog. I agree with the comments on his less than convincing raise from inept interm to Attending, but stranger things have happened in ER. (falling helicopters anyone?)
And hardly any of Sam. That was most welcome.

Ditto re Morris. I love Morris, like many I found him annoying at first, but I think he is a great character for the show. He's the comic relief, but deep down he does care I hope we see more of his kids in this season.

The Luka/Abby/Maggie stuff was great. It's always nice to see Sally Field back (I think Maggie has to go down as one of TV's best reccurring characters imo) I'm so glad baby Joe pulled through.

The intro of Gates is annoying, simply because it's obviously going to put a spanner in the works for Reela It's got love triangle stamped all over it.

You're totally right, Clare! It is a huge change, it seems. Curvy Abby is so better, in my opinion!

I just don't remember that old guy with sam? where did he come from? I remember her taking on some private nursing work for someone- is that the same guy?

also, really glad kerry's back in the ER, clearly the writers have realised they need more of the old and less of the new to give the show back what it lost when so many went. kerry was well underused in the past couple of series.

abby & maggie- just love it. i'm praying for the day maggie comes back off her meds, I'm a sucker for abby's misery.

Well, any episode with Sally Field is never a bad one - and this was no different. Maggie seems to have lost some of her 'mania' (due to the meds probably) but she has lost none of her quirkiness and the constant note taking and putting a 'Quiet please. I'm trying to sleep' sign on Joe's bed were just brilliant.

Morris - comic genuis. Loved it when after Pratt told him he had his job back, he went into the presentation and said how cr@p the product was!

Kerry - She's going to be back in the thick of it more? Yay! I love doctor Kerry a lot more than admin Kerry.

Neela - felt sorry for her. Her loss and misery seems to be lost on everyone. I know her getting drunk won't help. Her 'I don't want to be alone' line to Gates was so heart-wrenching.

As for Gates, I'm not loving him so far. He's just a cocky paramedic who wants to play doctor. It won't go well. Also, I hope they are not bringing him in for a love interest for Neela.

The final scene - perfect. I'm glad Abby's at the point where she realises she 'needs' Maggie. Oh, and Luka showing off Joe's photos to the gang at the party was so beautiful. It's so rare we see the gang get together for something good.

I really liked this episode - I found Morris funny again - 'I am not Vegas!' and I thought Sally Field was brilliant, especially the scene where she was knitting and kept peering over at Joe.

It's weird how Kerry is going all soft - I was really surprised when she went up and hugged Sam when she came back.

Gates is annoying me already - like other people said, I immediately thought of Shep when he hit those guys.

Oh, and I loved Luka trying to convince Abby about the trial, and mumbling about the kitchen sink!

he is prob my fav character at the moment!

First off just want to say hi as I haven't posted on here for about a year!
This episode was really lovely and I especially liked the way it ended on an upbeat note - the final scene between Maggie and Abby was really touching. Great acting from SF and MT - loved all their scenes.
I also liked the "team" feel throughout the episode - there were many times where characters asked about how others were getting on and I hope this "family" feel carries on.
I'd completely forgotten about Sam's "sugar daddy" too and struggled to understand what he was saying half the time.
I didn't like Gates either - too cocky - kind of like an early Pratt! I think I'll wait and see with him.

glad that baby joe is ok... i loved abby's mum - i've not seen any other episodes with her in it, but i could tell there was trouble/tension in the past, which was good acting to portray that i think.
poor Neela, all alone- but now it seems she has two guys after her!! right after her husband dies lol.
it seems that not many DRs like Gates (is that his name - paramedic man). he is a little arrogant - but not in the good way i find. and for Neela i prefer Ray (even though he normally annoys me too - i noticed he looks like hes bulked up aswell). couldn't believe the way Gates beat up those men on duty!
it seemed to me quite sudden for Kerry to get fired!
and i loved Luka showing the baby pics to every1, as the proud father

and to abi before... i don't find Gates fit - yet anyway.

Whoever asked about Sam's 'sugardaddy'- yeah it is the same guy she did the private nursing for. Her and Alex moved in with him last season (can't remember if they're still living there though?)

And yes..subtitles definitely needed when he's on the screen!!

wrt Gates - I'm not sure what it is I'm supposed to find appealing about him; cocky, arrogant, uncaring about consequences for others, and part of the problem is that the "maverick doc with authority issues who will eventually be humbled and turn into a caring, compassionate and all round good guy" card has been played too often for it to be of any interest at all to me at this late stage in the proceedings.

I understand that there are those who appreciate him aesthetically but he just looks a bit, well, unwashed, to me; get a shave before you go to work, man.

I love that there was a storm happening and everytime something dramatic happened you could hear the lightning in the background...Awesome...

Someone asked what is happening to weaver , she is deffinately leaving but not until another few weeks at least. I have heard that luca tries to cut her to save money then changes his mind but she has decided to resign and move to miami with her son .

Well as you all will have seen from last night's episode weaver has been demoted, and is now an attending, like Pratt. Poor Weaver.

I hope she doesn't leave. I like her! Although i couldn't stand her when she first appeared in the show, i do like her now.
