Ooh yay! I need my Marcia Cross fix. I can't wait until they release Melrose Place on Dvd. That'll be Hasselhoff. Anyhoo - I'm totally looking forward to this evening's episode. I don't know if I'm going to be able to handle the lack of Steven Culp though. I loved him. *bawl*

So what did y'all think? I'm so freaked out by the cellar thing! Classic Bree as usual- the tie. Brilliant. I'd like to see her grieving properly for Rex though, and talking to the girls about it. Hopefully that will happen in the next couple of weeks. Loved Gabby and her gift of manipulation as usual hehe Loved Lynette multi-tasking and the nappy throwing thing- haha! Meh to Susan and Mike Why does nothing ever go right for her?!

Well I really missed this series when it finished last year so I’m glad it back, there something about this series that I really like but I just can’t put my finger on it, anyway back to first episode of this season, it’s rex funeral-I swear that wasn’t Rex in the coffin but it was a good-look alike. I will start with Bree, as per usual she was brilliant in this episode, propping a body up and borrowing a tie from guest was cool. I laughed really hard at that. That mother-in-law how long is she going stay?
Lynette, well it’s her interview and she seem to do fine until next day when Tom pulls his back and has to multi-task and she got the job, but I’m a little bit confused because I remember in last episode of season 1 that Lynette was offered a job, right so why would she have to go for inter-view?
Susan who has to either stupid or insane, I’m going with stupid, I mean any normal person wouldn’t try to jump a person with a gun, but not Susan she does it, Mike can handle himself. In the hospital Mike dropped the charges. Given zack his son he has no choice.

That was blatantly not Steven Culp in the coffin. Didn't look anything like him at all. Overall, I quite liked that. My only real quibble is that I wanted a bit more sadness and a bit less comedy in reaction to Rex's death, particularly from the kids. I'm choosing to believe we'll get that in coming weeks. And that end twist... dungeons! Freaky. I was skeptical about the new mystery, but I can't resist a dungeon. Alfre Woodward, however, rocks. I'm thinking that Lynette may well improve this season. I loved the "multitasking" scene and her showing Nina that she was perfectly capable.

The corpse looked like it was made of wax. Maybe it was. It was a little creepy. Really like last nights episode though, it's still funny.
"Let me just put down this bag of rats and I'll tell you..." "What could possibly make us even for the Tampa job... "Why would you get a tattoo of a mop?"

I loved the Bree/Rex's tie bit. You could so tell she was going to change it. Rex looked really creepy

Best moments tonight- Lynette talking to the rat- I was cracking up Susan's "Give me a moment, I'm just asking God to kill me" and Gaby: I think Tina and I are very similar. Carlos: Please don't tell me you have low self esteem cos if I laugh right now I will fracture my one good rib. Good to see Bree is feeling SOMETHING about Rex's death...but DIE GEORGE DIE!!

So ... Lynette's back at work, yet her plotlines are all about her kids and Tom still. Darnit, I want to see some Lynette in the working world. I'm a little tired of watching Tom and Lynette in the Passive-Aggressive Olympics. I don't care who takes silver and who takes gold at this point. They both have serious control issues. Tellingly, Tom didn't change the sheets when the baby threw up on Lynette's side of the bed. If it had been his side, I think he would have changed them. And those previews are deceiving. Susan: hate. But who knew that RB had such a great body. The way she handled the situation was completely immature. Phyllis so deserved that slap. The Applewhite story better be good because they have raised expectations for a dilly of a basement dweller "reveal" episode. If it's just an abusive husband I will be disappointed...yawn. I can't believe the pharmasist is so slimy and Bree gives him the time of day. He seems like the type she would totally blow off. Kind of out of character for her to cry on his creepy shoulder. Gabrielle ... zzzzz. That Lindsay Lohan clone (it's Jane Saunders with frizzier hair!) does not need a boob job

I found the best part of last episode was actually Lynette - and her conversation with the rat in the dustbin. The rest of it I thought was pretty "meh" as far as usual DH standards go. And it's SO frustrating that no-one knows the truth about the whole pharmacist/Bree/Rex thing!!! ******************************************* *** Hector the disgruntled tortoise was actually quite a happy tortoise until he was hit by a bus *** Honorary Member of the Hector Fan Club

I hate the George plot. The whole ooh-look-he's-evil-and-the-audience-knows-it-but-the-characters-don't thing really annoys me. But other than that I thought it was great last night. Especially the Carlos/Gabrielle stuff. Also when the mother in law got slapped, and Susan running Edie over...

Yeah Jade I agree that it's sub-standard right now...but I think nothing could have compared to last season's openers! Have heard it gets better though so here's hoping

i think it's still brilliant!! lynette is especially such a great character! and her whole family is lovely! rex's motehr is also a good character... am liking susan less this season and gaby more... she has loads of really funny lines. ("you seem to have everything you could ever wish for") the new family are interesting, but you know how they're different? they never knew mary alice so she ca't really say much about them. there isn't any narration referring to them which may be a drawback... but it's definitely interesting.. are tehy ever going to revisit the storylien about andrew and his sexualtiy? they seemed to just abandon that... they are generally paying less atention to the kids at teh moment... and when will john be back?? with no shirt on??! oh well, it's early days yet am looking forward to a whole lovley season of desperate housewives And In The End The Love You Take Is Equal To The Love You Make
