*speechless* that epi was amazing. The ending was such a massive cliffhanger. I felt so bad for Luka seeing Abby slumped and nopt being able to do a thing. Just top notch acting for the entire episode. Steve & his mates are real scumbags for doing what they did to Luka, Sam, Alex etc. On the other hand Neela's speech to Gallant's father was awesome. Just so packed full of emotion and tragedy. I hope Jerry makes it as well, it wouldn't be the same without him!

I think 31.1 is scheduled for 21st September; thereafter there will be a straight 13 week run (no reruns)up to Christmas and then a break until (I think) March, when there will be another uninterrupted run through to May.

wow the episode was amazing - i saw it thursday night and was meant to go to bed straight after as i had to get up in the middle of the night and go to amsterdam but i couldnt cos of all the adrenaline flowing through me!!!

am glad i got back this morning so i can watch it again tonight lol!!

i loved the strawberry kid and jerry! poor jerry - sod bloody luka, sam and abby - please let jerry be ok!!!!

also how many times does sam have to say sutre room before someone goes there!!! i was shouting at the tv 'go to the sutre room!!'

i think the shooting scene -although amazing - was flawed in that how come none of the prisoners or sam got hit??

ok, i watch this episode last night on E4-well what can i say, i mean it was rather good episode and EMT woman was excellent you just couldn't believe it when point a gun at Sam head-you just don't expect it-Luka you moran i mean why does he have to try to be a hero -i'm sorry to all you luka fan that think he did the right thing-i bloody think it was idiot because if someone pointed a gun at me no matter whether i could taken them or not i wouldn't done anything. Note it was his fault he in-cubbanted because that woman had no choice but use Vic on it. i be honest that has first time i seen Sam do a medical producer by herself-i was felt rather impressed.

Abby-she going to loose her baby -sorry but i'm happy about that mainly because whether she like to admit it or not she feel trapped by baby in my opinion-marriage discussion kind freak her out if she loses the baby no-more obligation to stay with Luka.

Neela- well good on you girl-wonder actress hate saying that-when she joined ER i was one of those hater that wanted her to fail but when she been given some decent acting materal it's actually a plesure to see her do, i espically love her eyes acting-that was so brillant. Still Prat ignore the phone-call-if it's the hospital i would taken it.

She's seemed pretty happy about everything recently, just because she doesn't want to get married to Luka doesn't mean that she's itching to get away from him (Oh wait! Maybe she'll go to Africa to be with Carter, and they can both hop in the sack to get over their baby-losing pain. Or not.)
If I recall correctly didn't she say at the beginning of the episode that she wanted Luka to know how much she "loves all this". Does that sound like someone that's unhappy with their relationship?

Yes, losing a much wanted baby sure is something to gloat over. Not. And naturally, anyone who gets hurt in the course of trying to resist a bunch of criminals had it coming to them; of course the bloody fake EMT had a choice. She had a choice not to be there at all; she certainly had a choice not to stick someone with a drug she knows nothing about. I suppose it's Sam's fault there was a shoot out because she raised the alarm, or Abby's fault that her baby is at risk because she alerted the police. Please.

I'm sure season 13 would be an absolute hoot if Abby (and Luka) lose that baby; him bereaved again, her losing the child she never thought she'd have, both characters dead in the water.
What exactly do you have against them?

I can't say Abby looked trapped at the beginning of the episode, smiling and joking with Luka, talking about how much she loved "all this" and later admitting that they do indeed love each other.

such an amasing epsiode, it has to be the best series finale, I think that even after 12 years er continues to deliver a high standard of drama and hardly ever disappionts its fans, and a big appluad to those fine actors for such an emplosive epsiode.

I loved that episode, but I feel the need to moan about the bits they got wrong.

before I start....Bala: nurses are trained to intubate aswell you know! Pratt was right to stick with Neela, she needed him, He will realise it must be something important if the hospital keep phoning - I'll bet he answers on the 3rd ring and goes in to help in series 13

If Abby (or anyone) is that heavily pregnant and fell over during a shoot out, she should have been checked over thoroughly before getting back to work. Even tho there was all that drama, I am surprised none of the drs thought about it (including abby)

If she has a cut on her head, putting paper stitches across it, is pointless, that will close one tiny bit of the cut and leave the rest open! It should go over the whole cut!

I agree with Bala about Luka, I would like to think that if someone came at me with a gun, I would let them go and not try to fight them. What does he care if a couple of crooks escape? He is a DR not a police man!!

Finally, I am surprised Luka wasn't gagging constantly having that tube down his throat whilst being conscious. I wouldn't like to try it to see!

WOW ER cetainly pulled out all the stops for this one didn't they?? i was absolutey blown away we haven't had an episode that good for a LONG time!

luby: well acted on both parts and very sweet. i love hearing luka speak in croatian! the last scene was gut wrenching seeing luka's frustration and OMG the suspense!

neela: why oh why, is PN not in more films?? she is a BRILLIANT BRILLIANT actress! her scenes were dramatic full of feeling yet not melodramatic and overacted! i also felt the her frustration and how she must feel that war is such a senseless thing and how nothing NOTHING could make up for the fact that gallant was killed in a pointless war!

morriss: christ i hope he stays! he is a great and unique character *cough*get rid of wooden ray instead*cough*

all in all: just incredible that last half hour just had me gripped i was actually sitting bolt upright on the couch. linda C acted wodnerfully and that abigail line was perfect! i actually wasn't expecting the EMT to be a part of it so i was REALLY shocked! the shoot out scene was breathtaking. just incredible. i really hope jerry's alright! he's a good character and i loved his scenes with the kid!
also seeing kerry in this ep reminded me of how much i've missed her this season. LI is a GREAT actress and not shown often enough.

i CAN'T STAND that we have to wait til january/febuary! it's just CRUEL!!! i personally think that this season far outranks any season of recent years. they have totally pulled it around and i think they have done a great job this year! can't WAIT for next season!

Firstly... WUSS ... FFS you're honestly saying that if you had the chance to do something good, courageous and self sacrificing you wouldn't think of doing it for someone you loved/cared for or admired?
You also have to remember that he's been through the war in his home nation, seeing his family killed and being powerless to help them. To a similar degree his experiences in Africa might have contributed to his actions.
I would have to say that in his position I would not have thought twice about taking action. (But then I have been trained to do so but maybe I'm biased...)

Nurses have often been shown on the show to be more than competent of performing even the more complicated medical procedures. She did have a tough time intubating him because I'm sure anyone would have the jitters with a gun to their head.
