I doubt they'd think you're a chav..well you'd probably need to talk like one to confirm it, and i'm guessing you don't sound like one. But how about just leaving it out? It's simple..but it looks good? I don't know why i'm even saying anything on this topic, i have no sense of style.

I'm the opposite, I always wear it up because it explodes a lot. Especially in this crap weather. My hair has been very mean lately.  My exciting news (ok, it's not) - we are dressing up at college on Friday, and school uniform won the vote, which is annoying, because we did that last year. I voted pirate. It would have been so good.
