If anyone has it recorded in a digital format - DVDRecorder, Video file, Bit-torrent etc. then you could take the sound from it and make it into an Mp3 ringtone with little fuss, and a non-MP3 with a little more fiddling...

WOW, pretty cool pe huh??

no one does mass casualty scenes like ER. i always love that every season you have to have some explosive ER episdoe. and i think they did this one very well!

abby/luka: how great were they? that scene with the two of them at the end was SO brilliantly acted. i tihnk every single look and line was so perfectly timed and well played! well done to both the actors!!! but i felt like screaming at the scream at the end "you idiots, can't you just get it together?" also loved there scene in the morning.
andon another note i really like abby and neela's friendship. i have always enjoyed the scenes they have together and i think it's a sweet friendship. plus they had the best line:
abby: is there nothing i could say to get you to stay?
neela: NO
abby: i slept with luka!
neela: yeah, nice try!
lol Big Grin

moving swiftly into...
neela: she's a great character and likeable! i thought she was good in this epiosde. i won't give her a hard time for going against orders by going into that house because it's just what the docs on ER DO.. that's their thing. and how happy am i to see gallant back? he was always ag reat character i felt and it's lovely to see him and neela together!

clemente: still loving him. his character has me gripped and he has only been in the series for a couple of eps! they should make him a regular! (and get rid of ray Razz )

ray: nothing special from him. that zoe girl is just pathetic.

sam: YAY haleh is back! you can't have Er without haleh she's old skool man! and at least eve or eva or whatever the hel her anme is didn't object to it in the end!

i agree with what everyone has said that that woman in the end who was crying after that guy had died gave a very real and moving performance!
al round great ep. i swear they just keep getting better! and i CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT WEEK!!!!

Great that Haleh is back! Well done Sam

Neela was terrific, so brave and Parminder's acting was wonderful. That said, I was a bit disapointed by the crash scenes, they had been so hyped,I expected more, although the collision in the dark sky was original. I thought that scene with Pratt looking up was new and different, whereas the disaster on the ground was like a million other crash scenes I've seen.

I thought that Prastt's character was well explored. He went from being gung ho like he always is, to really caring, and the death scene with the guy and all his relatives was
moving

On a shallower note, I haven't seen John Stamos in other things but I thought he was good looking, quite cute in fact

Also, yes, where is Kerry these days?

Finally, the bit I didn't like. No Ollie (aka Banana Mandrake) you are not the only one who doesn't like the new Luby. I thought the scene at the end was really, really corny. How many times have you seen the nervous, let's be friends routine in soaps or rom coms. It was so predictable, down to the end when they turn round at different times. I couldn't beleive they would do something so old and hackneyed. I would have thought that GV and MT would be embarrassed to act such bad writing, since they've both had so much better material in the past.

Well, that's just my opinion, and GV's bare chest does look great, but we know that already.

A mixed episode, then

Ooh this was such a good ep! Everyone pretty much has it covered but my 2 cents--

Agree that the Luka/Abby scene was beautifully acted at the end, perfect amount of awkwardness. And the turning around thing was HIGHLY frustrating!!

LOVED LOVED LOVED the Galleela moment at the end. I just *so* wish I hadn't seen 'Sharif Atkins' on the screen at the start..spoilt the surprise FrownFrownFrown They should sort that out and just put him at the end or something. Hmph.
Peeeeerfect moment though...imagine how she must have felt, after a day like that!! Awwwww I officially adore Galleela.

Loved the wrestler guy.
Loved Pratt and Ray's concern for Neela.
Didn't even notice it was Serena Williams.
Where's Kerry?! Grr.

Best Moment
Adrian dying at the end. One of the most heart wrenching scenes in a long time.

Best Quote
Man with his arm stuck under plane wreckage: If this works out, I'm making you two cake

or

Sam: He was a lucky guy
Pratt: He's dead
Sam: A lot of people loved him

Big Grin Good stuff.

I agree that kind of thing has been done before espacially the whole 'looking back and neither sees' thing, but I think it worked with this scene because Luka and Abby are such private people and don't share their feelings or thoughts with other people (I'm thinking about Luka not talking about his family etc and Abby, when her mum was ill and brother went missing and she didn't want anyone helping her or knowing) and the fact they never seem to entirely trust others or let themselves go in a relationship (now I'm being corny!). Both of them nearly admitted their true feelings but were still so scared to do it that they talked each other out of it. they were afraid to voice their true feelings in case the other didn't feel the same. I think the only reason it worked and wasn't corny was that we know so much of the characters history. If, for eg, that whole scene played out (god forbid) between Eve and Clemente then it would have been really corny because we don't knwo anythign about them yet.

I'm going to congratulate myself on my longest post since I joined here *little round of applause*

Ooh can I also ask-
What was actually wrong with the guy Pratt was treating at the start? (The one who went on the chopper) Why did he have fluid in his lungs? (Missed what they said cos was too busy screaming about Sharif Atkins being in the episode Wink)

He had had a heart transplant but wasn't taking his medication (that he should do after the transplant) that was why he had fluid on his lungs - he wasn't taking his meds because of his wife.....didn't understand the link to be honest!!

Wasn't he the guy refusing to take his heart-transplant medication. If so it was to do with him starting to reject his heart I thought... I may be wrong though.

Fluid in his lungs ... why does that phrase sound really familiar?

Ooops, forgot to comment on the nursing politics storyline of the week. I was deliriously happy to see Haleh back on my TV and we have an original back. I was quite surprised with Eve's reaction, I expected her to flip and she surprised me. I was quite upset that Sam seemed to be worried about what flight Eve was back and then when she saw she was safe, it was like nothing had happened.

Serena Williams wasn't terrible, but she should stick to tennis.

So are you hunting for witches ...?

I think the guy thought he was being a burden to his wife, so he was deliberately being obnoxious and not taking his meds , so that the transplant would fail and he would die. She told Pratt that she wanted him to live and she loved him and wasn't ready to let him go. Pratt persuaded him that his wife still wanted him to live, so he took the treatment (and then wound up in the hellicopter crash anyway???)

Well, that's how I interpreted it, but I could be wrong

PS I still think the Luby scene was corny. I think they could have found a more original way of showing their hesitancy, or even not shown it at all and let us figure it out for ourselves. I'm not crticising the actors, who were OK, or saying that it didn't fit the characters, it did, just that the writing was poor. ER scripts used to be sharper than that.

was this bloke in the crash. i don't recall seeeing him. I thought the crash was between to planes and the helicopter went off in the opposite direction and the whole point was to show the crash from a different angle with Pratt being on the roof.

Anyway i loved this episode (apart from the luby scenes). i thought the storyline with Aiden was great one of the best storylines in ages. His eyes had so much emotion in them.
Sam, Pratt and Ray were great in these scenes too.
I loved the exchange between Pratt and Ray about Neela. Ray really cares for her, and i guess she cares for him too - after the whole beating thing and how she was looking after her cuts.

And yay for Gallant i hope he is here to stay.

Spreading the Carby Love

I spend 23 hours a day wondering whether we’re wrong for each other, wondering whether the baggage we both bring would be enough to sink a small ship...But in the 24th hour, I realise I’ve been thinking about her for 23 hours and it always comes back to, there's something about her that I can’t stay away from. Something about her, that makes me wanna…love her.

The helicopter wasn't involved in the crash; Prat was watching it fly off at the same time that we saw the lights of the two planes which crashed approaching one another in the sky behind him.

Thanks Mrs Eyre. I'm sure you're right thinking about it now. It was a crash between two planes. Silly me. I wasn't sure at the time , but now I remember Pratt sort of turned round on the roof. Anyway, I liked that scene. Thanks for putting me right about that.

Sorry for the lateness in review. I've been busy (shock!) I'll be brief....

Neela: Yay, she got her episode. She was cracking as always. Loved it when she talked about the high she got from excitement and how she wanted to get back out there - shows how much she loves the job. Didn't think much of Gates' flirting (pointless) because GALLANT CAME BACK Big Grin Sooooo happy. They are great.

Abby/Luka: Was it me or did Abby look a smidge unhappy about being in bed with Luka? It's like she wanted to be anywhere but there. The moment when he gave her back her underwear was funny, but really, I want it finished with now. No real chance of it though is there Roll Eyes

Haleh is back - oh, how I rejoyced!

Ray and Zoe - getting old, predictable and boring. Although he did have a few funny lines with her.

Serena Williams - well, she has to be bad at something. But if you think that was screaming, you obviously haven't seen her play tennis!

Oh, I can't be bothered anymore. The episode was great.

Quotes of the Week:

Ray (to Zoe) Haven't you got some homework to do?

Abby: Is there anything I can do to get you to stay at the hospital?
Neela: No.
Abby: I slept with Luka!
Neela: Yeah, nice try.

A popular choice, but too good to omit.

Oh yeah I forgot to say-- when Gates did the thing with driving away when Neela was trying to get in the car- did anyone actually find that cute?? Because I found it *ridiculously* annoying!! If I'd been her I would have poked him in the eyes!
