Glad to see you don't like the Pratt story line either, stupid I tell ya! and you know ER they must ruin everything good and pure! and it's funny you're step mum said that about abby and being bi-pola cuz i was thinking the same thing, but I'm sure it's just abby being abby, or so i hope

Abby's 37, way past the age that BPD would have presented.

Now I may be wrong, but don't twins run on the mother's side only? And these two are doctors!

Only non identical twins run in families at all (I'm one; had an early scan with my first baby to make sure there was only one in there) and it's down to the tendency to rpoduce two ova at a time which are then fertilised. Identical twins are a fluke.

I'm sure they both know this and the whole thing was just a bit of fooling around, in keeping with the rest of their interactions in the episode.

Really? How old was Eric though? He's not that much younger than her, and he only started showing signs a couple of years ago...

I have a feeling (not sure though) Eric was about 8 years younger than Abby, and his BPD presented several years ago now. He'd have been in his mid-late twenties, I think.

Eric's story-line was only season 10 (when Carter was in Africa, that's season 10, right?) so just two years ago. And they must have been close in age because Abby always related her story like when they were little Maggie would leave them and they'd both be small but old enough to understand and she looked after him. So surely no more than five years difference on that account at the most...

i can't remember if they said erics actual age but i remember them saying something like he was at the end of the scale of the age range for developing the disease so i'm thinking that abby is a good few years past that now.

I loved this episode. Luka was so sweet with abby! As much as Im an angst fiend...Im loving happy Luka. Abbys line in the store when they were hiding "Every woman in the hospital knows who you are!" and Lukas "Oh" cracked me up.

ANd Morris! YAY!!! I really love Scott Grimes, hes my 2nd fave after Luka. He had me in hysterics with Pratt, trying to talk ghetto speak...and disturbingly, despite Morris' 4 nipples, (ginger hair and porcelain skin) he actually has a great body! lol

Forgot to mention. Dubenko...what a sweetie! I didnt like him when he first joined ER, but not only is he damned sexy (Is it just me, or does he look a helluva lot like Richard Gere?) but hes the only surgeon that hasnt reamed the ER staff out every 2 seconds for the hell of it, and cares about his patients. He actually looked shocked like he was gonna cry when Morris came in and shouted at him! lol He was great with that old couple...one things been bugging me though, I recognised the husband...what else has he been in?

Ray...OK...for the first time ever, I liked him over the past 2 epsidoes...actually I thought he was great. I still dont see the attraction, and I wish hed have a bloody shave...but hes just earned himself a second chance...the jury is still out on that case.

Galleella - sheesh...I used to love Gallant. Now I cant stand him. Hes a git for doing that to Neela. Neela, get an annulment. Susan did it and managed to stay friends with Chuck...and have his baby..etc etc...(Damn, thats one of the things that really got me when Sherry left...no more Chuck!)

It was season 9, when Carby was together and Carter was all 'I'm here for you', and then it turned out he wasn't in the end, he was with Gamma, and then later in Africa. (Remember the whole "Go find your brother, my grandmother will still be dead when you get back." exchange? Ninja )

Eric was definately at the upper end of the scale, but I'm pretty sure he was still in his twenties, if only just. He could have been 28-29, which cuts the age difference down a bit, but I'm not 100%.

*Gasp in shock horror* Eek You dind't like Dubenko from the very beginning????!!! I liked him better with long curly hair, suited the character somehow. Though I think it was ridiculous he managed the ER, for any department member to think they could even cope in another department, let alone manage it is absurd. Being a good surgeon is great, but it doesn't equip you for the needs of the ER, and vice-versa.

Oh ok, thanks. I never even considered the bi-polar thing, it was my step-mum who I told, "No, it's just the pregnancy". That said, I'm not aware of the age range so I'll take your word Smile

I know...its shameful of me...I prefered him with his long hair too. He started to grow on me a while ago..but I really fell in love with him with his cancer story Big Grin

It's odd, how we have different perspectives of characters. For me, I love Dubenko, always have. But, I haven't liked him as much in season 12 as I did in season 11. I much preffered lively, competitive, witty Dubenko to the ill, tired, confused one we've seen this year.

Having a surgeon run the ER is not uncommon. I remember Benton having to run the board before - and having similar trouble! I think in the end he handed it over to Carter, much to his delight Big Grin

Abby/Luka: Awwwww! They were just very sweet. I do want them both back at the hospital soon though. I want some Abby/Neela banter!

Neela/Michael: No honeymoon period here then? Fancy marrying her if he's been thinking about going back for weeks?! Did he really think she would understand! Take your part in an illegal war, Mike. Take your part. You'll probably lose your wife though!

Pratt: Don't care. Never have.

Ray/Zoe: Thank the Lord our boy Ray had something to do last night. I felt for Zoe and was pleased Ray did all he could to get her out. Loved it when Ray gave her dad what for at the end Big Grin

Morris: Hate to say it, but I'm liking him more. That's probably because he's just a fool. If I saw him with patients, I'd probably hate him again. The nipples thing was stolen from 'Friends', but hey. Enjoyed it when Tamara didn't run a mile and started discussing her sixth toe. Up yours, Pratt!

Dubenko: When has trying to do the right thing been wrong? Oh, when your a surgeon in the ER. He was sweet last night; trying to save that old lady when there was no hope. Her husband was sweet too; giving up all his life savings to give his wife 4 more days. I think Dubenko saying "They'll bill you" was a tad.....harsh though.

Overall, a good episode. I only say good because there was no killer Abby/Neela chat.

In Friends, Chandler only had 3 nipples. And we never even got to see the extra one. So i'm liking this nipple situation more. Smile

I missed the first 10 minutes because I was late back from a rehearsal. It was the first time ever, I didn't feel terrible about missing some of ER. In fact, I didn't seem to mind that much. This season is really not gripping me.

I felt really sorry for Neela and that scene was dramatic. I was almost crying with her. Gallant is wrong. Neela is great. Why leave her for that stupid, horrible war?

I was glad we saw more of Dubenko, but the poor thing really didn't do very well. TPTB didn't give him a chance to be quirky in his inimitable way, but I liked that he didn't shout and throw his weight around when the ER doctors and nurses challenged him. He did know he was out of his depth. Remember the mess Romano made of his stint in the ER, but he was too arrogant to admit it and blamed everyone else. Dubenko was really rather sweet, though, of course, he was wrong.

As for the rest of the epi meh.....yawn....bleugh

this is officially my favourite ep of the season so far! imagine having luka and abby on screen ONLY to be luby! it was wodnerful! these two actors have SO much chemistry and i loved their conversations and interaction! aw, they are such a cute and lovely happy family!

luby: as mentioned before, WONDERFUL!! i loved the baby stuff shopping and the banter and EVERYTHING!!! all the luby scenes were my favourite!

ray: hey guess what? he didn't annoy me this week! his storyline was good and i felt very sorry for zoe!

pratt: well...what he did wasn't right but i can't say for sure that i would not have done the same thing... i don't know. but i did love his itnereaction with morris!

galeela: these two are so cute together. shame they writers wanna wreck everything and send him back to iraq. and if i was neela i would also be pretty p***ed off!

dubenko: his patient was my favourite. i felt so sorry for that man and his wife. he loved her so much!

morris: lol, i think that morris is so undereastimated regarding his importance in the show! it is SO nice to have a character who provides the light hearted side to the show (you know, when luby aren't fooling around in the changing room...) and he is just great to watch! his interaction with pratt is great!

best line: was by FAR!
abby: luka, every woman in the hospital know who you are!

lol, we should change that to: every woman on the forum knows who you are!

(^^ this was also the best scene in my opinion!)

can't wait for next week!! hopefully more lubyness!

Rewatching it, Luby are better second time around. And how beautifully acted by Parminder Nagra was that last scene? She is amazing

I love her. She's just so...British. Even Britisher than, dare I say it, Alex Kingston (Although I will always love how she says "shirleeeeeeey").
Actually I guess they're both really British in their own British type way. Like Corday was tea, scones and Dickens British, whereas Neela's Fish and Chips British (I was going to say curry, but then I realised that it would sound very. very. very racist...)

But I *totally* digress -
I loooove Luby v.2. I know that the first time 'round Luka smushed some dude's face to death on Abby's behalf, but I'm sure that puts a teeeensy bit of strain on a relationship. Even if it is kind of hot.

And I love Dubenko. I really want Leland Orser to be added to the season 13 credits. He's just so cute.

Once again I've managed to say a lot, none of it remotely interesting or of any substance. I'm sure being shallow has its perks.
