I just heard that ER is taking a break until the 16th and from then on it'll be on C4, mondays at 10pm not on E4.

Does this mean that there will be no repeats through-out the week? Big clash with prison break

They're going to be showing classic ER in the Thursday 9pm E4 slot, starting with Season 5 Episode 14: The Storm Part One.

also as far as i know it is not repeated again in the week. so if you miss it on monday there is no 2nd chance or plus 1!!!!!

think they're doing the same thing as they did with Ugly Betty and Lost - went on a tiny break for a while

I know i'm not happy about this either....there were too many cliffhangers in last night's episode! Dying to know what happens in the next episode!

No, both C4 and E4 are having a break from it (I am assuming because there was a break in the series in the States as well so maybe it has caused scheduling difficulties here)

It will begin again on Monday 16th April on CHANNEL 4, and won't be on E4 from then on I believe.

...which sucks. As we get no Second Chance Sunday. Hmph.

when they said about the break i didn't realise that it meant it won't come back to e4!
i was annoyed about them even taking a break - but to not bring it back is even worse!
i normally watch it on modays but someimes if i know i'm not going to be able to watch it on mondays i watch it on thurs - and tbh, i usually end up carrying on watching it on thurs!

so its no longer going to be "a 9 thing"?

That is really rubbish. I like it being on at 9 on Thursdays.

Prison Break is repeated on a Friday night (late), as Grey's Anatomy is repeated on a Saturday night (late).

not the end of the world guys... there are many places these days to watch prison break (or indeed pretty much any current tv show) if you miss an ep, dont worry.

and hasnt this board always been about the c4 anyway (ie more c4 than e4 followers)?

Hasn't anyone heard of E4+1. ER will be on at 11pm there. I too watch Prison Break but will just watch it on the +1 channel at 11

Sorry ignore my post. I am forgetting we are talking about channel 4. Although I can tape one but people that can't Prison Break is repeated of Fridays so you could watch ER on the Monday and Prison Break on the Friday

I really aren't happy with the change of schedule. Like many others, I too watch something else on Mondays at 10pm, for me its Heroes, which alright, I can watch this at 11pm on Sci-fi+1 but I really don't want to be waiting up till midnight to watch my programmes.

And more to the point what is the reason for this change? I can safely say that I am off to put my complaint it right now! *Stomps off*

Here is my complaint I have just issued:


After watching ER on Sunday evening I was disappointed to hear that ER will be taking a break for a few weeks with no explanation as to why.
I find that giving an announcement at the end of the episode was insufficient and there should have been more of an explanation as to why the decision has been made to insert a break in the series.For as long as I have been watching ER, I have never known there be a break in the series and I certainly don't see the need to start now.

I have recently visited the ER Forum on your website to see if there is any explanaition as to the reason for this break and I am yet to find any.Also there are now rumours that the future episodes of ER are only to air on C4 and no showings on E4, is this correct?

If the new schedule is true, this is unfair to the viewers who have taken on access to digital television to be able to watch shows on E4 prior to airing on terrestrial television. Also this decision causes problems for many people who watch ER on E4 on Thursday so they are able to watch other programmes on a Monday night at the time ER would usually air on C4.


I would appreciate if you could reply with answers to my questions and an explanation for this decision.

it better not be an early april fools cos that has p*ssed off so many people.

also not everyone has access to these other ways of watching tv programs

and this is an ER site. there are no seperate c4 or e4 forums

Its so annoying what is gonna be shown in its place on thursday nights more re-runs of friends? cause lets face we are not fed up of watching them yet are? lol
