I don't know about you all but I seriously think Ray and Neela should get together. The chemistry's there yet I somehow doubt ER will put them together (especially with the introduction of Gates). I really can't stand Gates, there's something so aroogant about his character and he seems all too 'perfect'.
Does anybody know whether Neela's destined to be with either?
I really think Ray and Neela should get together. I think Gates is just the rebound guy. Ray and Neela have such a great chemistry. They seem to be made for each other!

Ray does nothing for me but Gates does even less. If it's a choice of these two for Neela (and assuming that being alone is not an option) then Ray makes me less tempted to pour vinegar in my eyes. Ray has made some silly mistakes and has an annoyingly juvenile streak, but then he's young; not sure what Gates's excuse is.

In class today i was talking about this to another student and she said Ray isn't that god looking he may have a personality but youu do need summat in there other than personality dont ya.....
anyway we then went on to learning about the different effect of cancer, treatments and different cell diffinshencies that are forms of early signes of cancer.. i dont eman to bore you lol

Neela and Ray have been set up to be together since she moved in with him ... but this is ER, so that doesn't mean she'll end up with him, or that she'll even get around to him this series. ER favours slow steady character progression, just look at Abby, Carter and Luka, still, I did spend the whole of the last series going "Aaaah" every single time Neela and Ray were in the same shot ... Neela's good for Ray, and in a strange way Ray's good for Neela ... hope she doesn't break his little heart!
Gates? ... I'm pretty sure he's just a distraction ... ok, so a cute, brooding distraction, but he's not right for Neela!

... i'm not sure on this yet. he's definately no Luka, but i think he is quite a good looking guy, - when he was wearing that brown jacket at the end of 'somebody to love' and so i can see why people think he's hot. but he's not hot enough for me to like his character. he's an idiot. - i say that now, but he'll probably change if he's a perminant character.

hiya at this moment in time im in my class at university shhhhh!! haha im a guy so im not to sure if i should be in this thread but what the hell im here!!
I think Gates is a good character to ER although im not sure that Gates would act like this is a real hospital, but it does bring a bit of drama to ER.
I dont really know Ray after only watchin ER this S13 but so far he seems a very quiet character, good at his job but nothing else, wich is good for a doctor he concertrates on the job at hand!
Gates wants to be the best at everything! He cant see that people have opinions just like himself but i think he will develop as a character, maybe with the help of Neela
There's something so sneaky about Gates, I don't get it. I don't like how he's so obviously got his on Neela even though he knows about how recently her husband died and he's involved with another woman (how involved, I'm clueless, I really don't get that whole storyline). I agree with Emma, Ray's good for Neela and the same vise versa!
