He quit, He had a a massive heart attack and was off for a while, then came back but couldnt really cope, shame he was such a good character. Him and Kerry would've been so good together.

But William H Macey who played Morgenstern went on to do much bigger things. He's one of my favourite actors. He was terrific in "Magnolias" and "Fargo". Ex ER people who became prominent movie actoes are rare, but he's one , the other of course being George Clooney
sort of along the staff deaths line but its sort of one of those places where you know summit is going to happen to you! lol but then that makes great viewing!

Lucy (stabbed) Mark (cancer), Romano (helicoper accident), Dennis Gant (sucide), Audia the paramedic (shot), Sandy (on duty) all died. Well, that's all I can remember.
Jeanie left to be a full time mum to Carlos.
Morganstern left after the whole Dr. Swanson affair.

Jesse was only a family member, not someone directly linked to the ER as a unit. But he was extremely close to Peter, so it probably would go down as a personal and heart-wreching ER death.

And of course Carol was actually supposed to die in the Pilot episode. When it was shown to selected audiences, they didnt take to that ending well and the writers changed it.

Damn! Why did I read that spoiler! Oh well. I missed the Lucy death episode. She is/was one of my favourite characters so in a way im glad I avoided it so I didnt burst into tears. I'll just wait for the dvd

I'd rather watch 'All In The Family' and be an emotional wreck for a while than have missed out on one of ERs best ever episodes. I implore everyone to watch it when they get the opportunity. It's not an episode that I can watch over and over, but it's great to have the chance.

No just that they were planning on spending the rest of their lives together like a married couple... although with out being able to do it officially.
