Ahhh, good film, good film. I can let most of the omissions go by (although I do worry how they'll explain a few things away later, eg how the twins got their shop...), and I like the new music. Smile

And awww, when Harry got back from the graveyard...Amos making his way down from the stands...I generally have a heart of stone when it comes to crying at films, but this did almost catch me out, lol. Ninja

What cracks me up is that u would think that it would be dumbledore to be the first to realise that somethings wrong but its fleur. The first task was quite scary the first time i watched it. the first time i watched i was shivering for the first half hour!

Karen:I've been on Dasher, on Dancer, on Prancer, on Vixen, on Comet, on Cupid, on Donner, but not on Blitzen. He likes to watch, ok?!

If anyone's interested, there's a full typed out version here of a hand-drawn Black family tree JK Rowling did for a charity auction:

Some of the family links are pretty cool, lol.

Woah...that is all way too confusing for my tiny brain- she is so clever coming up with all those crazy connections though. Who's Septimus Weasley? Crazy..

Lol, everyone's related to everyone, no wonder they had to branch out into half-bloods and muggleborns, it would get very inbred otherwise.

Mr and Mrs Black (Sirius's parents) appear to have had the closest inter-family marriage, they're both direct Black descendants down the line.

Septimus Weasley is possibly Arthur Weasley's father, the dates are about right since he's got grown-up children of his own.

Prewitt (over on the left) is Molly's maiden name, so those are her ancestors (remember she and Sirius are cousins by marriage, and Percy's middle name is Ignatius).

Melania McMillan is probably a relative of Ernie McMillan's (from Hufflepuff).

Burke, from Borgin and Burkes.

Crabbe - yeah, we know of one of them, lol.

Flint - Marcus Flint was the Slytherin Quidditch captain.

Bulstrode - related to Millicent, the Slytherin girl Hermione has a tussle with in book 2.

Crouch and Longbottom, again we know of their descendants.

(Neville's grandmother is called Augusta, so Callidora must be his great-grandmother.)

Dorea and Charlus look like they're James's parents.

I love seeing it all laid out like this, lol. I'm such a geek for the small details. Ninja

Casting news from mugglenet;

Helen McCrory will no longer play the part of Bellatrix Lestrange in the fifth Harry Potter movie as she is currently pregnant and will be heavily so by the time they film the Ministry scenes. She is set to be replaced by Helena Bonham Carter. Helena played the part of Charlie's mother in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Apple Brook, who's appeared in stage, TV and film productions for more than 25 years, will portray Care of Magical Creatures substitute teacher Professor Grubbly-Plank.

Finally, the younger versions of Sirius, Lupin, and Snape (who all appear in "Snape's Worst Memory") will be played by James Walters, James Utechin, and Alec Hopkins, respectively. Also, Jason Piper will "play" the part of Bane the Centaur. Whether or not he'll simply lend his voice for the role, we don't yet know.

There are links to photos of some of the newbies on the mugglenet site.

Re killing HP, I don't think that will be confirmed either way til the book is actually out. It'll probably be the most closely guarded secret *ever*, lol.

Re the release date of book 7, I don't think anything has been officially confirmed yet, but many people seem to be thinking 07/07/07 is the likely date, cos it's all symbolic and wotnot...although that's very close to the release date of OOTP, so maybe they'll want a bit of separation between the two? 7/7/7, could be right... maybe they should open the bookshops at 7 minutes past 7!

I think you are right in saying that the possible killing of HP will be a close guarded secret, however in the past somehow a copy of the book seems to get out before the original release date. I really really hope she won't kill him. I don't think I could bear reading the book if she did.

I'm not sure if I want her to kill him off. I like the character, but I'd rather he be killed off than someone else come along years from now and make some half-a$$ed attempt at a sequel or whatever, Harry's later life and so on.

If I knew someone would try and do that later on, I'd say to kill him at the end of this series, so they can't mess with the character for their own gain. :\

But otherwise, I'd like him to live.

I read in a Belgian paper that the title of the next HP book is rumoured to be 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows'

I'm not sure how reliable this is, so take with a pinch of salt.
