i feel pretty much the same as you eternal sunshine- abby and luka rock! i've seen most of the season 7 on more 4 now and basically luka and abby didnt work out because they didnt communicate with each other. the arguement where they break up started because luka had gone to pay a bill in a bar and abby was waiting outside for him and he was waiting inside- which pretty much says it all! i dont think either were really in "the right place" for a relationship either, they both had too much baggage with abby's mum and all luka's history whereas now i think their both in happy places

think abby and carter get together near the end of series eight which i think started on more 4 few days ago. not really sure though.

ah thanks 'every silver lining has a grey cloud' (like your name by the way) - that info helped clear things up for me - explains why at the beginning of series 12, before they got together again, after Luka split from Sam because of 'communication problems' Abby alludes back to luby broke up, and thanks him for realising that it was him with the communication issues or something lol. - i knew then that they were gonna get together again though!

i love watching old episodes of ER but it can be a bit difficult dipping in and out of them because so much happens each episode!

does anyone else find more4 really annoying?
i watched ER yesturday, and then again today, only it wasn't the next episode - because they play one in the middle of the night! so its impossible to keep up. and it looked like a good one, i think - where abby got beaten up by her neighbour or something (i think thats what happened anyway, but i wouldn't really know cause i missed it)!
sorry if i seem a little angry or whatever, i'm just a bit peeved and am using this to vent. hehe

Oh is that whats happening? I record onto dvd the 14:00 episode in the afternoon, but keep wondering why I'm missing stuff. I assumed the episode in the middle of the night was just a repeat.............doh

Back in the day I was definitely a carby fan. I'm not saying that carby was working back then, but I could see a future for it, I couldn't see a future for the old luby relationship as it just wasn't working and the people that Abby and Luka were just were not right for each other.

This time around I am totally onboard with the Luby relationship, both charachters have learnt so much and moved so far over the seasons that they now fit together fantasticly. I really enjoy watching the pair of them together, and adore how they are with Joe.

I simply can't see a Carby relationship happening at all now. Carter and Abby just couldn't make the compromises necessary to be together, even if Carter was still in the show.

Luby all the way! ... and I sure wouldn't have been saying that a coupld of seasons ago.
