Dont no but i have finally saw him he was in the eppy last week when carol went to visit him afta seeing the cancer patient die. YEAH (not about the patient obviously about seeing doug!)

Indeed, he didn't have long left at that point.

I just think there's a wee difference between someone deciding *they've* had enough, and someone deciding *another person* has had enough.

I know parents have to do what they think is best for their children, but I just find myself less unsettled by these types of storylines when the person in question has given their own consent for their life to be ended once they reach a certain point. Ricky probably was ready to end it by then, but no-one could know for sure that it was what he wanted. :\

I ahve finally seen him. YEAH! He was on like one of the last epis of seasen 6 when carol went to see him.

Yep it was the Penultimate episode of Series 6 called 'Such Sweet Sorrow' and is one of the better episodes of ER. Been ages since I've seen it, which is a shame. I only caught the last 5 minutes or so when it was on last week or the week before - when Carol meets Doug at his new home. It is such a good ep too.

Yeah it was good and very sweet. Just saying i agree with you on the let yourself die but dont let anyone decide for you thing.

I love that episode... but when I watched it, my tv cut out 3 mins before the end. Talk about rage blackouts!
