Indeed, he didn't have long left at that point.
I just think there's a wee difference between someone deciding *they've* had enough, and someone deciding *another person* has had enough.
I know parents have to do what they think is best for their children, but I just find myself less unsettled by these types of storylines when the person in question has given their own consent for their life to be ended once they reach a certain point. Ricky probably was ready to end it by then, but no-one could know
for sure that it was what he wanted. :\
