Because this show could warp your fwagile little mind...
Because they're too dumb to put a medical show in a time slot better suited for a show that has scenes of...medical-ness.

not like you to be cranky... sleep deprivation again?
I'm never cranky, it was the wine talking.
Sleep has indeed not been so good the last week though, work is stressful these days. I think I have a cold coming too.

I spend 23 hours a day wondering whether we’re wrong for each other, wondering whether the baggage we both bring would be enough to sink a small ship...But in the 24th hour, I realise I’ve been thinking about her for 23 hours and it always comes back to, there's something about her that I can’t stay away from. Something about her, that makes me wanna…love her.

Yeh at a poopy time slot! 3pm! Hello people are working and go to school. I want ER back at 6pm, not stinky time team! I only get to watch it on Fridays....and I forget.
Lex: Trust me, Clark. Our friendship is going to be the stuff of legend
Previously they have shown the missing episodes before the late night repeat. I didn't realise they were doing this at first and I'm sure I missed an episode early on in season one.
Luckily I realised it was happening when the "previously on ER" introduction contained scenes I hadn't seen and I didn't miss Love's Labor Lost, the one with the nightmare birthing, a really important episode for Dr. Greene. (Also nice to briefly see Bradley Whitford pre West Wing)
This also happened with Motherhood, the episode where Susan Lewis ends up delivering her sister's baby girl. I think there might also have been cuts to the episode as well (I missed the bit where Susan sings the blackbird song during the birth) which is a bit crazy considering the time it was on, although they might have had it lying around from when they previously screened it at an earlier timeslot. (I can't rule out it being a glitch with my PVR though :/ )
However, today watching the introduction to "Home" when I realised they were doing it again and I looked ahead in the schedule it appears that they are completely missing two key episodes from season two: Hell And High Water which I was looking forward to, and The Secret Sharer, both of which are pivitol episodes for Dr Ross. It also jarred seeing Carter and Harper back together when at the end of Days Like This they had split up.
It a shame it looks like More 4 won't be showing these episodes at all
And it looks like there's another missing episode. Last Call, which should have been between Don't Ask, Don't Tell shown yesterday and Ghosts today, is nowhere to be found in the schedule.
Looking at what is in the description I can understand why they wouldn't want to show it during the day but why no late night showing like they've done for other episodes?
This is starting to drive me crazy now. I thought it was just bad storylines but i realised they had been skipping episodes after one the the recaps.
The worse thing is they skipped Hell And High Water which is probley the best episode of any made, most of the others have been heavily edited as well. Not bothered now as im giving up on it and getting an un edited region 1 dvd.
What series are they upto on More 4? They skip episodes as well when they showed it during the summer, etc on Channel 4. It really annoys - I can work out what episode is coming up next, and I switch on to watch it and they put on the next one.

ARGH! they've done it again. I just finished watching Faith , was wondering why everyone was fussing over Hathaway and then near the end she mentions a hold up at a store and I realise they've skipped the Ewan McGregor episode (The Long Way Around).

I love that The Long Way Round episode, these repeats are confusing me because I missed alot on the SkyOne repeats for the same reason, at least they did late night catch-ups though. I don't see the need for the same episode to be shown at 3pm(ish) and 1am(ish).

Why on earth are they missing out so many pivitol episodes??? ... I was really looking forward to Hell and High Water, and the Ewan episode... and now they're missing out more episodes... *sighs* ... can't find Exodous in the schedules... I really don't understand it... yes, some of the episodes need a night time slot, but they are showing a few of these episodes, so why not all of them???
They aren't only just not showing a few episodes during the day, but are on occasion showing an episode during the day, but not showing it again in the late night slot (the one that I tape) so I've missed loads of episodes. I had forgotten to tape a few over the Christmas period so presumed that it was my fault when I got confused by the "previously on", but on checking Digiguide I realise that it's just ridiculous scheduling.
For example, this afternoon (Friday) they will be showing Season 4 Eps 10 & 11 and then on Monday afternoon Season 4 Eps 12 & 14. There is absolutely no showing of 10, 11, 12 or 14 in the late night slot. Monday's late night slot is showings Season 4 Ep 13 (which isn't being shown in the afternoon!). It hadn't occurred to me that any TV channel would be this disorganised and so completely dismissive of its viewers. I give up.
Just been catching up with my recordings after getting backed up over the Christmas period, but it wasn't until I checked the season 4 episode guide that I realised they missed When The Bough Breaks, I guess nothing in the "previously on ER" refered to it (not that More 4 can do anything about that). Not a great loss but reading the synosis puts later events into beter context.
Head's up everyone, according to the freeview EPG todays daytime episodes are Sharp Relief and Sharp Relief but between then there should be http://www2.warnerbros.com/web/ertv/episode_guide.jsp?oid=8729&season=4 which is the first of tonights double bill and also on wednesday night.
And it looks like EmmaGx was right, no sign of Exodus day or night.
Blast, mucked up the url in that last one. How do I get to edit posts so I don't have to keep replying to myself?
Looks like they are also skipping Shades Of Gray which is Morgenstern's swan song. I'd been trying to remember how he left, it's a shame to be missing that one.
Never seen most of series 4, in fact its the series I've seen the littlest of, but I think I read somewhere he was drunk in surgery and benton kicked him out so he quit.
