I think it was because they didn't expect great viewing figures. I watched "The Closer" on CH4 when it started and when it disappeared I phoned ch4 to be told that it didn't have the viewing numbers needed for prime time ch4 or E4 and might be shown on More4 later. (which it has). Apparently it might be repeated on ch4 if it gets good viewing figs now. (So I believe!)
Has anyone watched the first episode of the new series? What do you think? I thought it was ok but it was missing something which I can't quite put my finger on it!
I wasn't sure whether ppl were starting a new thread about each ep like they have done with previous series, so I thought I'd play it safe and post here.....
I enjoyed this episode, nice way to start the series. It was interesting to see the new Chief (Moretti?) supervising everything and then him pretty much admitting he didn't have a good day. It will be interesting to see how he develops. And Gates being moved up to ICU - does that mean he'll be in it less? That will be interesting to see too, how they factor that in. If he was in surgery he could just appear but I dunno with ICU. I liked how Abby made a stand and told Krenshaw to operate. But the best bit was at the end, the final scene where everyone was sat in the waiting room to see Neela. Even Frank was there, which was nice, shows he's a member of the team....kind of. Good start to series.
"Never let your work become your life, Kerry. Live a little."
Loved the 1st episode. I'd forgotten that neela had became a magnet until Lucien appeared! I too loved the last seen when they were waiting to see her.
i thought it was an ok episode... nothing great though. i liked the ending, with them all waitign around for Neela. And it was sad when the girl died, but other than that it wasn't great, and there isn't really much to say about it.

JD: "you have a tough day at the office, so you come home, make yourself some dinner, smother you kids, pop in a movie, maybe have a drink. It's fun right? Wrong. Don't smother your kids."
So I completely missed bits of last night's ep as my housemate decided to come and chat for about ten minutes during ER. Will have to watch it on Saturday. Saw most of it, but completely missed Anspaugh and other stuff. Damn.

i was suprised how easily abby got stressed though
bring back luka to help her out
Marching On Together “Ross: First divorce, wife's hidden sexuality...not my fault. Second divorce, said the wrong name at the alter...kinda my fault. Third divorce, they shouldn't let you married when you're that drunk and have stuff written all over your face...Nevada's fault.
Eep, it can't be easy working full time and being a 'single' parent (I know she's not single, but with Luka away she kinda is at the moment). Plus the added stress of the baby having an accident etc.
i understand all that but surley she has been stressed before and never drank - i hope she stays off it

Wow, I'm surprised there haven't been any posts about Saturday's episode; no-one shocked by what Abby did? No-one traumatised by the sight of Stanley Tucci's chest? No-one speculating about Luka beating the crap out of him if he finds out?
